Please explain this to me?
Edit: Furthermore, why did they do bonus damage when you stuck them to people? (Thanks for pointing that out below).
And for the record: my biggest complaint about the tripmine change is the damage nerf not the 'unstickieness'.

2 답변I am a warlock main, with that out the way lets get to business. When I use the gunslinger subclass on my hunter I usually use tripmines because of their time to kill. (Which in most cases is instant) I also enjoy sticking people with tripmines and rarely stick them to walls. But as the name suggest, they are tripmines. Suppose to be used as a mine to lock down a chokepoint where there is heavy traffic like a doorway. I have always ignored this. Lol So the nerf isn't unreasonable. But what is unreasonable is the amount of time it took to nerf this mine if supposedly it was never intended to work as a sticky. They knew it sticked and they knew thats how most players used them. It just doesnt make sense. And on top of taking away the stick. They reduced the damage. They should have increased damage and reduced the light that pulses. (The brightness and the extended the time it took it pulse over time) That is just my opinion.

It's meant to be a trap, so sticking it to someone is stupid. However, some can already survive unnerfed trip mines, which shouldn't really be possible. I guess I'll wait till trials before making a final judgement.

1 답변So, now I have a Trip Mine " TRAP" that blinks and makes noise that only kills you if you stand still in front of it and don't move.....I don't know how many times players have simply run threw my "TRAP" and received little to no damage....and now it does even less damage....GREAT! Knives do less damage....even better. This pisses me off more then the "BURN" being taken off of my Warlock....and yes, I Used Solar grenades not Firebolt. Maybe if we at least got an overshield like other classes when in Super I wouldn't mind as much.....

If anything were to be done to tripmines and throwing knives, it should have been a damage buff. I should be able to kill someone with a burning throwing knife headshot. The gunslinger subclass needs a one shot grenade.

4 답변작성자: Erijian 6/16/2016 11:51:25 AMWhy let Tripmines act as a sticky grenade and a trap? Normal sticky grenades and trap grenades do one or the other; Tripmines did both. Damage nerf was unjustified though.

2 답변What's the hottest pepper you've ate and what you ate it with. Me half a habenero, my wife grills them and stuffs them into a roasted cornish hen with a dash of lemon pepper. Some good stuff there I tell ya.

9 답변작성자: DeafBlade 6/16/2016 6:40:00 AMLike how Titan's adapted, hunters must too... Throw a tripmine behind the other team and start shooting, if they back up they die, if you know, were smart and tried to shoot If not you can hopefully get a postmortem.

2 답변That medal is meant for every other grenade that sticks... You can get the medal with trip mines but that doesn't mean they were supposed to be used that way.

11 답변
Please explain this to me?
Even if someone tried to explain this to you, you wouldn't even listen/ you'll just end up disagreeing. Also, maybe everyone should just suck it up? Us Titans, had to deal with our nerfs and the game lived on. Stop going to these forums as an outlet. Just. Play. The. Game. It's pretty fun when you stop complaining about something that will never get fixed.

The problem is that bungie has no backbone. All the nerfs came because there was a topic with a bunch o crybabies yelling about something. Bungie is responsible for the game getting broken, but the part of the community that "wear diapers" is too. It works like this: if you cry enough, even though things are the way they should be, bungie will "adjust it" so the babies won't cry anymore.

4 답변Why do defenders get PVP medals for using their supers in PvE? Maybe it's not grounds for an argument on balance, or maybe defender bubbles should be indestructible in PVP like they are in PvE.

4 답변Me an my teammate died from my own tripmine!! It's obvious that's ineffective against the enemy but is effective against you

8 답변It wasn't intended to be a sticky grenade, as far as sticking into people goes. It was meant to be a trap while retreating.
-
Truly I don't understand. Of the sticky grenades, Tripmine was by far the hardest to stick, as all others (I believe) will turn a full freaking 90 degrees to land right on your chest. (Warning: this post may have some bias, but the facts are straight.) It was an identical throw as the throwing knife, which was also inexplicable nerfed.

3 답변Maybe all grenades should be sticky? I'd love it if my lightning grenade, spike grenade, swarm grenade, pulse grenade and vortex grenades all stuck to people. Wouldn't that be fun?
-
5 답변They nerfed a grenade?! Oh no! How ever will you kill someone now? Too bad you don't have something like A GUN to shoot people with. Man, if only you had a gun in a shooter game with space magic...

4 답변you misunderstood, they did not realize that for almost 2 years it has been doing this. It was just missed somehow. They would have fixed this right away if they knew it was happening from day 1.
