Alligator dragged child away in Disney resort
So when I got home today, it was a good day mind you, I started to watch some news to keep up to date with the world.
The story that I saw was about a 2 year old child who was playing near water in a DISNEY RESORT, and an alligator grabbed the child and dragged him into the water.
The father entered the pool and wrestled the alligator, but it was too late, I think.
When I saw this story, it really ruined my day. I honestly don't know how an alligator managed to get in there, it is truly shocking.
And I apologise if a thread was made covering this topic already.

When I first saw the story I figure they're not going to find that kid because a two-year-old's a Pop-Tart for alligator. But then they find the kid completely intact ( dead but not eaten)... I hope they're doing an autopsy.

4 답변No... The Alligator was in a man made lake. Everyone on the resort watches the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the man made beach by the lake. Apparently, while they were waiting for the fireworks to begin the child was wading in the lake up to their knees. Alligator snatched them and pulled them under water. It wasn't the alligator that killed the kid, they drowned. No, the alligator didn't go into the pool. I feel so bad for these parents. This place is supposed to bet the happiest place on earth. Just imagine this happening during the middle of your vacation. I can't even imagine what their going through right now.

1 답변Because at 9pm you let a 2 year old kid near water instead of watching the disney movie that was meant probably for him. Why would you let him get near?! These lakes are dirty and some have bacteria that can kill you.

1 답변Now that the body of the child has been found they are on the hunt for the alligator perpetrator. If this was a crocodile, this wouldn't be on the news... #alligatorlivesmatter

19 답변How on earth does an alligator make its way into a Disney resort? How did nobody see this as a thing that could happen or had a plan if an alligator got in the resort?

18 답변[i] *puts on an antic disposition* [/i] This was a [i]resort[/i], not a zoo or something. It's not closed off from the rest of the world, of course there will be alligators. Disney knew there were alligators in the area, which is why the water was marked with a no swimming sign. They keep track if the alligators and move them somewhere else once they reach a certain size. They should have had a sign that warned of alligators, but the parents also should have taken the warning more seriously and not let their kid near the water. In this case no one is 100% at fault, it was a bit of stupidity on both ends.

1 답변This really pissed me off. And I have the reason why in my head, and it's well thought out in my opinion. I'm just really bad at making my opinions, well, sound good and understandable I guess. So. Cut me some slack? Like I said, this pissed me off. This alligator is an animal, as is every other living thing on this planet. Jesus how do I put this? It was instinct, right? I mean, the reason it took the child is because it, and all alligators, are opportunistic. When the alligator saw the child's small size, it took it as easy prey. Then the "tragedy" happened. God, I'm gonna sound weird. It needed to eat. As do all animals. So it did it because I needed to, in order to survive. Yet we see it as cold blooded murder. But when we kill livestock, we really don't have to do it. I mean, it helps, but it's not absolutely necessary. I kinda forgot where I was getting at but I hope you guys understand.

This is the kind of topic I try to shield myself from, but I don't. I don't know the full story because I'm trying to avoid it. Odds are, they went to an area they shouldn't have been in, and I feel way too much empathy for those parents. That wasn't a quick death, and I could only imagine. I've seen alligators and crocodiles kill prey on t.v. and in person. The father definitely lost his mind, but I don't blame him. The minute that child got dragged in the water, it was over. That's why I generally stay away from water. I love to swim, but I know better. Animal Planet taught me far too well.

3 답변How could the alligator grab the child in the first place? Even terrible underfounded zoo's in india have security so that an alligator could never grab someone unless they jump into the cage.
