Hello, Your probably wondering how to go about getting better gear. Below I show you the many ways you can! [b][u]Exotic Engrams[/u][/b] - Purchase [b]5x Three of coins[/b] from [b]Xur[/b] for [b]7 Strange Coins[/b] who randomly appears in places in the [b]tower[/b] and the [b]reef[/b] every [b]friday and saturday[/b]. From here you use only [b]1x Three of coin[/b] which shows the effect on your main character screen. While active, defeat an [b]Ultra boss[/b] (A boss with [b]no shield[/b]) which will be any from the [b]strikes[/b] (except for [b]Psion Flayers[/b] and [b]Omnigul[/b] cause they have [b]shields[/b]) or from a [b]taken champion[/b] which appears during timed events on cosmodrone, mars, moon or venus and also from bosses in the [b]raids[/b] or [b]prison of elders[/b]. You can also use them in [b]crucible[/b] where they work once a match has finished. Once the active effect of a [b]Three of coin[/b] is gone, simply use another then try again. Not always guaranteed an exotic engram to drop, it can be [b]up to 11 Three of coins[/b] before one drops since the next coin has the boosted chance after a previously failed attempt. [b]Exotic engrams[/b] can be decrypted as your current light level up to 5 above it. Best to [b]decrypt one[/b] at a time on your [b]highest light character[/b], if it's [b]better[/b], equip or fuse then decrypt again. Chances are you will go up [b]faster[/b] in light levels this way. [b][u]Rank Up Packages[/u][/b] - You can obtain gear which is current or 5 above from ranking up in [b]vanguard strikes, crucible, faction or house of judgement[/b]. But these can only go up to [b]330 light.[/b] [b][u]Heroric Vanguard Strikes[/u][/b] - Bosses have a chance to drop a [b]legendary piece of gear[/b] which can be [b]335 light[/b], which are unique to each boss. E.g. Blighted Hood helmet from the Blighted Chalice strike. [b][u]Nightfall Strike[/u][/b] - A [b]level 42 strike[/b] with unique modifiers per week which is gather your teamates only. The rewards at the results screen after successful completion can be [b]exotic gear up to 335 light.[/b] You can claim rewards from this strike [b]once per character per week.[/b] [b][u]Prison Of Elders[/u][/b] - Level [b]41 POE[/b] is matchmaking and gives up to [b]320 blue gear[/b] at the rewards screen after completion. Level [b]42 POE[/b] is gather your own members only and gives up to [b]335 gear[/b] along with [b]335 ghost[/b]. The rewards you claim from Variks for completing the scorecard is only [b]once[/b] per [b]character[/b] per [b]week[/b]. [b][u]Trials of Osiris[/u][/b] - [b]Crucible player versus player[/b] elimination mode during weekends, you claim up to [b]330 gear[/b] from the [b]gold tier[/b] reward. Even if you are bad at crucible, you can still earn what is up for grabs from the [b]set items[/b] sold by [b]Lord Saladin.[/b] [b][u]Kings Fall Raid[/u][/b] - [b]Normal mode[/b] drops [b]320 gear[/b] while [b]Hard mode[/b] drops [b]335 gear[/b] but be warned...[b].Hard mode[/b] has [b]no revives[/b] so 310 or above is advised. Items can be claimed only [b]once per char per week.[/b] [b][u]Court Of Oryx[/u][/b] - You can find this place on the [b]drednaught[/b] and if you obtain [b]Antiquated Runes[/b] you can use them for [b]Tier 3[/b] which will drop up to [b]335 legendary Artifacts[/b] but only to the player who uses the Rune. [b](Very rarely on Tier 2 Stolen runes - 335 legendary Artifacts drop, but seems there are reports on this case)[/b] [b][u]Lord Shaxx[/u][/b] - The [b]Crucible vendor in the tower[/b] gives a pvp weekly bounty which can give gear upto [b]335[/b] light. So in the long run it's only [b]42 POE, Nightfall strike, Trials of Osiris, t3 court of oryx and the raid[/b] where you need to gather members and use teamwork to claim the rewards.
