How a Kindergardian changed my life.
So this was in year 1 pre-all expansions and i was sitting in the tower around level 25. There was a level 2 guardian who was running around like crazy. This was obvesly his first time in the tower. He saw me and with my armor and weapons (this was not that long after release) and he must have thought i was the best player in destiny. He danced and started following me around, i showed him a couple glitches and it was a all-around good time. He sent me a friend request and i accepted not thinking much of it at the time. Fast forward a couple weeks and I'm around 28 and my old kindergardian just needs a helmet to hit level 30... I was suprised he passed me and then he invited me to hard VOG. I accepted and at the end of the raid he got a helmet. He said over the mic "you where there from the begging of my destiny adventure and you were there till the end, thank you" that was an amazing felling, but after that i ended up moving to ps4 and i never talked to him again. When he was gone from my friends list i realized what he had done for me. He had helped me realize that this game is not about grinding and getting frustrated. Its about helping others who maybe don't have many friends have fun in this game and thats what this game become for me. So i thank my kindergardian (who shall go unnamed because of code of conduct) for making this game what it is for me.

its great to help out those who havn't beaten oryx or have trouble with missions etc.. just because some of us are grinders here day in day out know the raid backwards, forwards and mumble it in our sleep we should be sharing it with those others. while I love to speed run through oryx.. there is nothing better than having some guardian ask for some help in defeating oryx for the first time,

This level 3 hunter runs up and starts following me, waving, and dancing and I can tell he's inspecting me. I have the full harrowed armor going on, the hard raid shader, 320 exotic raze lighter, 320 hung jury, 320 harrowed defiance. He messages me and says "wow! You good." Could tell it was either a kid or just broken english. I did some patrols with him in the area and then sent him a friend request which he accepted. But then never heard from him again. It's important to leave good impressions on the kinderguardians.

1 답변Ah I remember as such. I once was running raids with my fireteam. We wanted to run Hard VOG for a chance of Mythoclast. We were short 3 players and scouted people on Destiny tracker. We accepted these 3 and raided on. Eventually one of the randoms were kicked for simply putting in no effort and lied about having experience with hard atheon (keep in mind when we requested players we did not do must be 29 or higher with Ghorn. Lol we didn't even have Ghorn then. The struggle) and proceeded after inviting a friend. Upon completion one of the randoms got a Mythoclast and said "What is a Mythoclast?" The rest of were already salty not receiving it and that sentence alone poured salt into our wounds ( I was raiding every week on my main just for a shot). After that those 2 randoms joined our brigade of idiots who play destiny. My buddy taught them how to farm and enjoy PVE. I basically taught them how to raid. He switched over to PS4 due to several of his co-workers playing Destiny on PS4 and now leads his own team of idiots. So proud.

I have had a similar experience.... In the divide. A level 5 invited me to play. Then sent a friend request. I accepted. He was from the British Isles, and was really green about Destiny. Had a great personality, and really appreciated all the help. He went on to being a real good player in PVP, and surpassed my light easily! He has gotten another game now, but every so often I send him a message to wish him well. I miss playing with him, he's good people... Hope to see him on again. Stuff like this makes it good...

3 답변This reminds me of the times I would patrol Venus grinding for spirit blooms, and I would see some lower level players trying to get the vault of glass open, I would hop off my sparrow and help and move on with my day. One time this team of 6 were struggling so I helped and they kicked one of them and invited me lol.

I love the discreet sense of community when doing patrol, whenever I complete a random event or Taken Zealot with a random guardian I'll always wave at them and then they'll wave back and we continue on with our journey

With my 200+ VOG, 200+ Crota and approx 150 KF completions I can totally agree that helping others is the best part of the Destiny experience. Along the way you have some frustration, laughs, crap loot, finally finally the mighty Gjallarhorn etc. If you haven't stopped to helped others you have no idea how much fun you are missing out on.

I used to help people all the time in year 1, but year 2 I hit burn out within weeks and the idea of running any content slowly anymore puts me to sleep just thinking about it. I really hate what Bungie turned this game into otherwise I would likely still be around helping others.

I was there when 99% of my friends got his/hers because i was helping them with something and they got it and still till this day...nothing Dont know how long i can keep this up captain

Ttk rolls around and now she's leveling up faster than me. Now we play together as equals while making fun of the crazy branches the randomly join our fireteam. All in all this game is about the people you meet, good or bad they make the game one of the best.
