So today we just got two 7 week old Labrador puppies and we were playing with them in the backyard, when one of our cats came to investigate, and quickly became aggressive and I tried to hold her back but she just lashed out at the poor pup and got her in the eye, she won't open the eye, and seems to be in great pain, I became angered when my mom told me "oh we'll just wait a few minutes and see if she opens her eye and is okay" I said that we need to take her to vet ASAP and my mom kept saying no, so I was pissed at the damned cat, pissed at my mom, stormed off in anger and here we are now
Keep in mind that we've never had dogs before and we have about 13 -blam!-ing cats(that I have nothing to do with personally)

3 답변Go to vet immediately. Cat claws can carry quite dangerous microorganism a that could infect the eye, and possibly kill your new dog.

Go to the vet. A scratch can turn into something a lot more tiring and expensive if left untreated. While you're there you can ask about stuff to try for your cat. I would recommend trying a product called Feliway, I use it at work and home and it really helps. Some cats don't seem to care about it, but it's worth checking out.

You dont hold a cat back. You chase the bastard thing off. And thats coming from a Cat person. The second any cat I ever lived with showed aggression, I instantly reacted with double, they'd flee in abject terror and never repeat the incident again.

Cat claws have bacteria on them, so it's in your best interest by now to have taken your dog to the vet to get its eye checked. If not, it is likely that infection can take root and your dog may either lose the eye or die.
