So by now we have a handful of melee options; all of which come in the form of legendary or exotic swords. With the recently leaked Rise of Iron artwork, we get a glimpse at what could potentially be a new weapon class in Destiny: Elemental Battle Axes. Whether this particular BA is a legendary, exotic, or even obtainable at all is left to be seen. -- This got me thinking about melee in Destiny. What is melee weapons aren't only a heavy weapon item? Heavy weapons - battle axe, lance, scythe [/quote] The addition of finding some ancient mythical melee gear would bring Destiny just a little closer to it intended Mythical Sci-fi genre. It could open up many doors to the way we solve puzzles, to the encounters Bungie can throw our way. It can open up a whole new type of Crucible throwdown. -- Who would win in a duel?
