Really guys. Really. They don't hit what you aim at. Thorn is arguably the most accurate handcannon in the game yet even thorn misses shots. Wtf bungie buff them. Bump if you agree.
Edit 1: by buff I mean purely accuracy and maybe a small range buff. And thanks to everyone who commented on the post so far.
Edit 2: This is amazing! I didn't think this many people would comment, even the great true vanguard!

1 답변I won't say that handcannons are totally fine, but you need some trigger discipline to make them worthwhile. There's a bloom mechanic now that will make shots deviate at increasing severity from your sights depending on how fast you fire the gun. The further your target, the more noticeable the effect. This is probably not going away so practice up.

8 답변I totally agree. They even suck in PVE. It's sad that Bungie nerfed an entire weapons class into uselessness.

9 답변The higher the range, the better the Hand cannon's accuracy. Stability plays minimal part in landing properly timed shots.

5 답변They didn't nerf accuracy itself only follow up accuracy. To translate, pace your shots.

2 답변I would say handcannons are in a good (fair) place right now. I admit, I used the crap out of thorn in year 1, and until the April update I used TLW a lot. I would suggest you try using a handcannon with rifled/reinforced barrel, makes all the difference in the world as far as accuracy is concerned. You should see fewer "phantom" bullets. Something like eyasluna, lord high fixer, etc. But like others have said below, be sure to place/pace ur shots as much as possible. I definitely feel like if ol' Bungo buffed HCs right now, they'd be too good again, and nothing else would get used in the crucible. As a day 1 player, I think the crucible is more balanced now than it's ever been. Just my opinion.

8 답변Here is the thing. I get killed by hand cannons all the time. like, ALL the time. But I don't think they should be nerfed. But they shouldnt be buffed, either. I've tried playing with plenty of handcannons, like hawkmoon, and thorn, ones that are supposed to be superb weapons. And I could not hit ANYTHING. fact of the matter is, I just suck with handcannons. They are already stronger than most other weapons, with 3 shot kills to the head, so if you take the time to practice and get decent with them in sure you'll find them perfectly balanced. If you've been using them for awhile and still think they need a buffing, maybe you should switch to a different weapon.:/

2 답변Idk about pvp. I rarely do any but in pve they seem underpowered. I used to love handcannons. Fate was my baby as it was to many others. I think the ammo nerf is what really killed it. Yeah they were a Tad over powered. Everyone used thron and TLW and fatebringer was the go to. But now that they are fairly balanced damage wise the ammo keeps them from being used in pve. You run out of ammo way to fast even in small encounters. I rarely see anyone with them outside of pvp anymore. Now I say this and I'm going to get 10 replies saying tons of people use them and I have played countless hours this past 2 weeks running strikes for Rep and can count the amount of players using hand cannons on one hand. I'm sure plenty still do, I'm probably just not seeing it. I honestly in my opinion wish they could learn to keep pvp and pve separate. The Gally and shotguns were the only things that needed small nerfs for pve. IN MY OPINION.
