Really guys. Really. They don't hit what you aim at. Thorn is arguably the most accurate handcannon in the game yet even thorn misses shots. Wtf bungie buff them. Bump if you agree.
Edit 1: by buff I mean purely accuracy and maybe a small range buff. And thanks to everyone who commented on the post so far.
Edit 2: This is amazing! I didn't think this many people would comment, even the great true vanguard!

1 답변Personally, I feel like handcannons need nerfed, but at the same time it is a very skill based weapon so... I dont really know for sure.

4 답변Bump. At ranges that I should compete with auto rifles with i be don't hit targets. An accuracy and range buff is needed.

1 답변They are quite fine. They're a finesse weapon. Takes a cool head and sharp wits to use one.

작성자: schoat333 5/24/2016 11:03:14 PMCompletely agree. There is no need for the phantom bullets. I don't mean missed shots either. I mean shots where I am clearly aiming right at the other person heads, and somehow the bullet goes somewhere else. They need to fix it. Just give them a damage falloff.

I haven't used HCs since Vanilla, and I actually agree with OP. I just feel bad for any opponent I engage if they are using any HC other than TLW. Hawkmoon is OK, but I've had way too many encounters that I definitely should have lost, had not one or multiple rounds somehow "missed" me. They appear very inconsistent. I hope you get what you are asking for on this one, OP. It would be nice to have a little more variety.

29 답변They should be removed from the game. Tactically speaking it's a pistol. Why a pistol that looks like it was used in tombstone has a place 700 years in the future has a place is beyond me.

15 답변Git gud. The legendary hand canons with good roles are godly. Just cause you're bad that doesn't mean it needs a buff haha

5 답변Well try using a real hand cannon then .. my lord high fixer and eyasaluna drop people just fine.. thorn just a waste of exotic slot ..

28 답변Two tips: 1. Use inside EFFECTIVE RANGE 2. Fire at EFFECTIVE RATE Failure to adhere to either GUARANTEES ghost bullets. Sorry, but 99% of ghost bullets is user error.

14 답변I actually like where hc's are right now overall. Accuracy can be easily buffed with some range boosting perks. Even so, in close to mid range they're outstanding and have the added bonus of being extremely accurate from the air, making juking and eliminating close range targets much more manageable than any other primary.

1 답변Yes! No (in)accuracy cones. Just appropriate damage drop. If I shot somebody in the head cross map with a hand cannon and it does 12 damage is that a problem? Why should the shot miss if I was actually on target? The person with the scout at that range is laughing because...they win at that range not because my weapon has been artificially been made in accurate but because they're doing full effective damage for the weapon type. In that example the player learns if they hit the shot and what their effective range is rather than, "should I have hit that shot or not?"

Yup sad how more 80% of the time a hand Canon goes up against any other weapon class its gonna lose...Don't get me wrong yeah you can get kills with them but there's a difference holding down a button melting an opponent then having to work so hard to re aim everytime you shoot, on top of some bullets never even landing..they aren't reliable as they use to be.

1 답변Ill sign this. Ive been using hawkmoon and its a beast but i can only imagine how good it would be if all the shots that should be headshots didnt dissapear.

1 답변I believe first shot is fine , I think what they Nerfed was follow up shot accuracy and range and falloff etc etc. But yes I definitely miss HCs and would like them to be viable again :-)

1 답변It is not the accuracy that I am concerned about. I am more concerned about the stability/recoil of the second shot. You may have the enemy's head in the middle of the crosshairs of your handcannon, fire the first shot... but it takes a really long time for the gun to get back to position when you make that second shot. This is the biggest problem of hand cannons. They are slow firing weapons and they should have one of the better stability and recoil out there. However, Bungie decided to screw us all up by making sure that we don't get the second or third shots on target. And when you're out there trying to survive, you're moving and strafing, trying to avoid direct hits while you get a shot to your opponent. The huge delay in getting that reticle lined up for your second shot makes a huge difference. I still do not get why Bungie decided to give High RoF auto rifles better stability than hand cannons. It is mind-boggling! I think it's stupid!

7 답변작성자: BERSEKAEL 5/23/2016 5:33:04 PMCuz at bungo they dont use handguns. Look at DeeJ, he said he likes machinegun over rocket... blam, rocket ammo nerfed... someone found how to get rocket ammo... blam trials and IB cancelled.

1 답변Agreed. I line my crosshairs on the enemy face, pull the trigger and the bullet decides whether or not it wants to hit. Wtf kinda logic is phantom bullets in a shooter?

I main a high impact hand cannon and feel they are in a really good position. They are quite effective at a variety of ranges. The key being the headshots. However at very close range they fall short compared to autorifles like hakkons hatchet, and red spectre/death, and to shotguns (which is to be expected). Something that helped me with hand cannons is remaining calm and forcing myself to aim make every shot count. Even so, it's a 1v1 weapon as most encounters leave me absolute. Another thing to remember is forget about it being a pistol, being a gun enthusiast, and recreational shooter in real life, it was a major adjustment to realize these pistols could be at longer ranges, and were NOT the weapon of choice for point blank.
