Just a little something of my experience from being a Crucible try hard to my conversion into a careless casual and it's result.
So year 1 was my prime, specifically HoW. My aim was true and my goal to top 100 was set in stone, months and months of lossless skirmish & badassery and eventually I reached that goal! It was exciting but also short-lived.
TTK comes around, I'm still in my prime... Two?... Three months? After that things slowed down a little due to lack of time in my life to play as often.
Supposed rivalries with fellow Guardians became something I no longer cared for, I found myself trash talking way less often & just wanting to play the game (you know), the times I did trash talk I think I just wanted to fit in with the team still.
Crimson doubles comes around. Finding it difficult to keep up with the meta because of lack of dedication, losing very often.. I don't even care about my losses anymore... KD? whatever I'll live... starting to enjoy fun builds instead of sweaty load outs to pass the time.... Strikes seem like a good way to chill... Odd notion for me.
April update: Busy life, pretty much gave up on trying hard to win and 'git gud'... Still play often enough... Three times a week for a few hours?.... Start enjoying the companionship of my characters more... Worrying more about how adorable I can make my Titan other than how high I can get my KD.
Today: Don't care anymore, here to have fun... Pretty much stopped sweating & raging at the game... Enjoy myself more... Also say hi to 'Kate' the adorable Titaness... Had time on my hands to name her
Yeah I like fanfiction
. Hehe.
Point being that over this time I've had to adjust myself I've come to realise that everything we do in regards to nerfs, buffs & everything in between is because we care too much. Just have fun & you'll realise it's all not worth the hassle.

1 답변I posted a thread, probably six months ago, about just having fun in Destiny. I appreciate the game is what you make of it and if you're a competitive, high achiever then by all means go for it, but some of us (and I'm not very good anyway) just play it to chill and blast off the days stress. I've no idea what my stats are (well an educated guess says poor to shocking lol) and if a new weapon drops I never check the roll I just use it and keep it or dump it. A very casual casual just having some fun.

2 답변I approve of this post and your new approach to the game... Welcome to the fun side...there's more of us here than some realize. It's a video game, just have fun!

2 답변I was top 100 in skirmish during the pulse rifle meta, but then Bungie kept lessening the skill gap with its updates until I just couldn't play the current slow pace camp fest the game has become.

작성자: Howard MoonXLII 5/10/2016 6:59:45 PMWelcome to the world of fun in PvP. I haven't tried in ages. Long before Destiny came out.
Partially because my age has slowed the reflexes quite a bit. But mostly because it's not worth the stress.
Yes. People care WAY too much in this game. It's not even that competitive I don't know why everyone has to try so damn hard all the time. Just have fun! Enjoy yourself! Play with something nobody uses! Use Gjallerhorn in crucible! It really kills the experience when everybody tries so hard all the time. It makes me have to try just so I don't die every 3 seconds.

2 답변I'll stop raging when RNGesus gives me a Doctrine (adept) with counterbalance. 3 months, 23 flawless runs, and 12 Doctrines later and RNG is still being a bitch.

1 답변Im almost in the same boat! I still play almost everyday but instead of being so sweaty and kd/win focused ive started to just play for fun and help my real life friends improve at the game. Honestly find coaching them and seeing them improve way more entertaining than playing the game myself

2 답변Came in here ready to flame you, leaving with an odd sense of respect for you. Glad you've turned away from the dark side and are finding the fun in the game, rather than the stats. Cheers brother.

1 답변Aren't you disrespecting those who enjoy sweaty play tho? I use to be great at StarCraft. Then I found it not worth the time, but I still admire the game and high level competition. Different strokes man.
