Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVXRsp22xlc After the 335 update, a 335 Sleeper can stagger Oryx on HM which made it possible for a hard mode kill. There's 2 primary strats being used for this, one was the double Fusion Grenade much like the normal version. I used the Firebolt/Sleeper shot which makes it a bit easier to group the Ogres for the 4 stack. The primary difference from normal mode vs hard mode solo'ing is the speed in which you need to kill the ogres and detonate bombs. The light-eater knights come out extremely fast, meaning you have a very small window to get the bombs off before the knights eat them. The Ogres health pools also don't work as nicely as normal mode did, requiring additional Primary shots in order to get their health low enough if you're using the Fusion Grenade strategy. This means you have to stay up top and shoot all 4 Ogres to get them lower before jumping down, making timing a lot more rushed. On Normal Mode the Sniper shots were enough to get them to the right health thresholds (where a single Primary shot would kill them). Along with the ammo nerf for special, it makes ammo management a lot more difficult than before. Requirements for this would be: -335 Sleeper Simulant -333-335 Warlock -333-335 1000 Yard Stare with Triple Tap -Starfire Protocol Chest (for extra Special Ammo, and if you're using the Fusion Grenade Strategy especially) -Increased Sniper Ammo Boots -Increased Sniper Reload Speed Gloves It was a difficult challenge, spent ~20-25 hours working on this over the least week. Definitely a big step up from normal mode.
