(This will be a long post. Holy wall of text batman! But seriously this is going to be really long. My TLDR is my title)
Let me preface this by saying that I absolutely love this game, and any criticism or ideas I have for improving it come solely from how much I want the game to improve, and I mean no ill will towards the game or its creators. Seriously, thank you for making this game. I have met some amazing people through this game and I have had so much fun playing it.
But let's tone down the fanboyism, and talk about some serious changes that need to happen in order to freshen the game up. Just like with The Taken King, I want my eyes to light up with wonder with new things to explore and do, and for this game to surprise me at every corner. Instead, most of the game hasn't done that expect for a few special areas. (Hello Vault of Glass, and the first time we got swords)
I also want to say that I know I'm not a game developer. I won't try to pretend I understand the amount of coding or work that goes into these things. And I certainly don't feel like Bungie has to listen to me. I'm just a guy. But putting my opinions and ideas for the game out there is the only way to share them with others, and I can only hope people will care enough to at least read my thoughts at approximately 6am due to lack of sleep.
Firstly, let's talk about necessary things that alot of community agrees upon. I don't speak for everyone, but these are hot topics in the community without a doubt.
1.) Dedicated Servers. Peer to peer connection simply isn't a good way to do this. The lag spikes and unpredictability not only effect the Crucible, but can effect raiding.
2.) Custom Games. Please let us choose to play with friends. You've already seen how the community goes out of its way to schedule tournaments, help a brother out. In addition, let us create our own game modes like back in Halo
3.) Ranked and Unranked playlists. I want to choose if I play sweaty or not. I have no proof to back up my next claim, but I currently feel like the system with the Crucible is rigged. You're purposefully set up to win sometimes and you're purposefully set up to lose, to try to make it appear as if there is a 50/50 win ratio for all players. That's ridiculous. Just let games be games. If a team gets stomped, we have the Mercy ruling, and it breaks up unfair teams afterwards anyways, so the next one is a fresh new pool of people.
4.) Bring in the exotics that never came. Please. Warlocks need some boots, and Hunters need to be frosty.
(If you have anything else I missed that the community has all been voicing, please share. And I'm not talking about nerf posts. I mean real stuff, thanks!)
Thanks for making it this far! But wait! There's more! Now I will add my personal ideas that could be used as inspiration to improve the game possibly. Again, I don't feel bungie has to listen to me. I just hope they do
1.) Multiclassing! As a huge fan of RPG's and D&D (Which inspired countless video games), multiclassing has always been a huge factor in designing and customizing your perfect character. Perks could be replaced in certain columns and (With restrictions!) players could build what they would like. Players could choose a single multiclass build in a fourth slot and level it up. If they wanted to change it, they would have to delete it and level another. That keeps players from spamming different builds constantly and finding the most OP one. But still allows everyone to migrate to what they would want to play as. Are you telling me you don't want to be a shadestepping knife thrower? Or a shoulder charging Sunbreaker? Or a juggernaut Defender? Or a scatter grenade throwing Stormcaller? Or a firebolt throwing Voidwalker? Or a blink shadestepping Bladedancer!? No one can say no to these things. Don't deny it. And for those who say it's OP in Crucible, yeah I'm sure some builds would be a bit unfair, but honestly I don't have a problem with that too much. But if the community was against it, I wouldn't mind limiting the playlists multiclassses were allowed into.
2.) The loot system feels so backwards it's hard to believe. Why is an Imago Loop 1000x more rare than a MIDA? Isn't Imago Loop a lower rarity level? Legendary drops need to be ten fold. I'm not kidding. I've grinded so many strikes since The Taken King, and I've received 2 Imago Loops. 2. Wanna guess how many Hawkmoons? Yeah, me either. Exotics aren't rare at all. Certain legendary weapons such as the aforementioned Imago Loop, Grasp of Malok, Eyasluna, and Stolen Will, are all so much more rare. Personally I think this should change. Three of Coins flooded people with exotics. Maybe they should have worked with legendary drops instead.
3.) Certain perks are simply useless. When was the last time you got Partial Refund on a weapon and thought how excited you were? ...wait, you haven't... ever?.. that's right that perk is so useless, half the readers would need to look it up while reading this because they've never even heard of it. It's such trash. A chance to refund a portion of your magazine on an assist. Whew. Talk about garbage. Same with Exhumed, Vacuum, and so many more. Please buff these. Just like when you buffed Mulligan. Remember when it was terrible, and now people agree it's a decent perk? Me too. And this goes the other way as well. Anyone else have war flashbacks of the terror of shot package? The imbalance between how amazing certain perks are and how trash others are astounds me.
4.) An even more in depth infusion system. If I get a weapon without the perks I want, what am I to do? Throw it away in the heaps of other weapons in my vault that could have been amazing given they rolled just a bit different? I don't think so. What if the system was changed so that if I infused something into something else of the same type (Sniper, Shotgun, Gauntlets, etc) I could choose one of the perk nodes to replace another in the something that's being infused. For example, I have an LDR 5001, without the Ambush scope, at light level 280. I also have a Weylorans March with the Ambush scope at light level 335. When I infuse the March into the LDR, it would be nice to choose to bring the Ambush scope with me, same with other perks such as Hidden Hand, or Last Resort. (I would have to infuse separately for each node) This would let people build their perfect weapon and armor builds, and be able to achieve their personal god rolls while also bringing it some sweet sweet grinding that you at Bungie love so much. It's like somewhere between the old reforge system and the new infusion system. I might add I don't think exotics should work with this system.
5.) Make encountering other guardians worth while. When this game was advertised they talked about how you can run into other guardians doing a strike or patrol mission and meet them that way to make this a more immersive experience. But every time I do, 99/100 times, we part ways like nothing happened, and when something does happen, it's just a wave or a mini dance session. What if there were secret missions that gave exclusive cosmetic gear that only triggered when two guardians ran into eachother sometimes? They would work together on a secret mission issued by the vanguard and complete said urgent mission and get rewards. (If they were in a strike, their teammates could be informed of this and 2 man it until the teammate returns). That would be so immersive, and it feels more realistic, and gives meaning to this "Shared world shooter", as Bungie calls it.
6.) Bring back the year 1 stuff Bungie. No need to overhaul the Vault of Glass or Crota's End, just up the light level and let us get that gear at higher levels. If the burn damage on primaries is still an issue in your minds, just remove it from the year 2 versions, no biggie. The year 1 strikes that were brought forward could add in even more strike exclusive gear. Like the Devil's Lair strike. Could you imagine if it gave a strike exclusive servitor ghost shell? That would be one of the coolest things ever. Phogoth could give a warlock bond that were chains, and perhaps a weapon as well. So many chances for new things Bungie. (This includes all year 1 exotic armor and weapons)
7.) Custom Shaders, Ships, Emblems, and Sparrows. Why do we get nothing for dismantling these? A whole ship and nothing worth keeping? But really, what if Eva Levante had her own ranking and with each level you could build your own shader more in depth. And by dismantling a shader, you could add in one of its colors into your pool to use to create your own shader. Same goes with emblems. And Amanda Holiday could work the same way to build your own Sparrows and Ships. This is all cosmetic bungie, nothing but upsides to this.
8.) Make the Grimoire come alive. It would be amazing to get to play as Shaxx at the battle of Twilight Gap, or as Eris Morn in her journey in the darkness, to defend the city like Saint-14, or to feel the corruption of the darkness take us over, like Dredgon Yor or Toland, the Shattered. To get to play these things would be so incredible. And even to play through the Books of Sorrow and get to experience gameplay as Oryx. Seriously.
9.) Space ship battles. Nothing more. And bring back SRL with even more stuff! The more variety this game has the more of a crowd you'll bring in
If you read all this, seriously thank you. Hard to believe someone listened to my rants as long as you did. If you Guardians have any ideas, please feel free to share! And for the Nth time, I don't think Bungie needs to listen to me. But it's cool just to share my ideas with the community. Thanks again!
Th-th-thats all folks!!

When you dismantle an Elemental weapon, you get a node and can install it into another weapon. Why can regular Secondaries and Heavy's have elements, but regular primaries can't? Sure that makes sense. Removing content shouldn't be the go to option, instead....open up the variety by giving all weapons this option.

most of this has been said a million times before and will probably be in the next game. But I like the grimoire card idea. Some mini missions where you take control of a specific guardian for a short time would be very fun. Like interactive cutscenes. Do I ever think this will happen? Not a chance. Doesn't seem like it would fit in bungie's "vision" for this game.

작성자: JefferyLlama 5/7/2016 12:18:25 AMI think in patrol, they should add the option that borderlands had. You melee someone, it gave invite to dual, and to accept, you melee back. Small shield appears and let death commence. Also 1 perk i would love to see removed is Icarus. I have dropped so many guns (including shadow price) that have this perk and feel its useless (to myself and most i have spoke to anyway). Lastly, im hoping my gut feeling on this is wrong, but i cant shake the feeling that updated raids will be coming in the next PAID dlc, and if so, im out. I dont want to pay for content i have already bought again. Ps could someone also look into dlc pricing as UK players such as myself seem to be getting the blunt end of the stick by being made to pay more than players in the rest of the world.
