Hey community, just wanted to get your opinion on this as well. I am a hand cannon user and have loved them from the beginning but nothing drives me more nuts than hand cannon phantom bullets.
If you use a hand cannon then you know what I mean. You land that perfect first shot and then either your second, third or fourth shot just plan misses even though your gun is aimed straight at his head or chest.
I feel like hand cannons are close but I really feel like this need to be addressed. I forget Bungie's exact wording but it's something to the extent of taking your time with each shot. I'm sorry but that's not possible when you have people running around with guns like DoP that can mow you down almost immediately. With a hand cannon I don't have time to steady each shot to ensure it hits in these instances.
I don't mind losing a gun fight but it drives me nuts when I lose a fight that I clearly would have won had that last bullet registered.
What do you guys think?

15 답변작성자: NobodyJustBrad 5/3/2016 3:05:22 PMTry pacing your shots instead of spamming them. Tip from Bungie themselves. When most hand cannons can 3 shot headshot, yes, you absolutely do have time to pace your shots. Make them count and you'll win. Rush or miss and you're dead.

The eyasluna is known for this somewhat... If you have litc I've heard it's worse. This is all anecdotal evidence from my gameplay, and from fire team members' reports, though. I often think the bullets go right above the shoulder or past the head, even though the reticle can be right on target.

2 답변I've recently gone back to hand cannons but, yeah this is still an issue. One bullet in pvp usually means winning or losing a gun fight. I hate all the needs they added to hand cannons, when legendary ones were really quite balanced, maybe a range nerf at most. They are close to being fully good and useful, but them darn phantom bullets.

1 답변Maybe I'm just used to the guns but the only 2 hand cannons I can spam with success are thorn and tlw. I tried using the water star and other ones but the ones I found remotely reliable are eyasluna, finalas peril, and ace of spades

3 답변I feel like some do it more than others. I can use a Finnala's Peril and hit people normally for the most part. But I can't do shit with Hawkmoon. I don't know if it's just me or something else.. But that's from my experience.

1 답변You're almost required to have a Range boosting perk now. While using the test Handcannon, I missed a Vandal from 5 feet away. I reloaded, aimed at his head, fired, and nothing. He just stood there looking at me. They've ruined HCs.

Yuuuup. I would love them to bring email back. Sure you merchant dudes from pretty far away but it wasn't thaat easy. It made them competitive now it's possible to do well with them but it just doesn't feel consistent

6 답변I agree. I used HCs exclusively pre-TTK. Problem now is the accuracy, not the range. But since range and accuracy go hand in hand in destiny, it's obviously not going to change. The only HCs somewhat working right now are TLW and (since the [i]range[/i] buff) hawkmoon. All other HCs are pathetic excuses to what once was a reliable weapon class. I had high hopes they would fix this issue with the april update but that didn't happen. Once again: range is fine, accuracy is pathetic.

1 답변That's why I don't use hand cannons anymore. A lot of the legendary ones have great rolls but they are unreliable. If they fixed the phantom bullet issue I'd use them like I did in y1, for everything

1 답변All of this. Its so frustrating. Sure you get kills and occasionally do good but handcannons just feel unfair. They are simply not a smart choice when scouts have twice the range and are firing more rapidly. What a shame because I love them. And I will keep using them nontheless.
