18 답변I don't think you quite understand seeing this post the title and some of your responses to other people here.... Net neutrality is how it has always been... but there were no formal rules on and the internet companies just basically went along with it to avoid the fight, more recently they decided they wanted to try and get increased revenues from companies to increase their speed and then slow down others speeds. This led to them trying to write regulations to more formalized net neutrality. The first attempt failed for specific reasons they retool the law to address those concerns and put it back into place. Some of the internet providers like comcast were straight up blackmailing companies like netflix for millions of dollars. making it so their customers could not reach Netflix at all unless Netflix agreed to pay more money. Basically I think you misunderstood what net neutrality was and somehow got it into your head that the government's trying to take the internet away when it's actually trying to protect it. John Oliver describes it pretty well

5 답변작성자: Seldser 4/29/2016 3:58:34 PMNet neutrality is the regulation that all data on the internet must be treated equally, without it Internet Service Providers have the right to prefer certain services over others. For example, I go to watch a Youtube video, but Google chooses not to pay my ISP, Telus, for a higher internet preference. without Net Neutrality, this means Telus reduces the speed by which data from Youtube reaches my computer and causes my video to load slower, overall reducing my experience on the site. However Vimeo chose to pay for improved service, so Telus increases the speed that their data reches my machine, forcing me to the other site and causing reduced traffic to Youtube from other Telus customers.
