A "oh shit button" on all classes.
Hunters have shade step
Titans should have side boost (kind of like built in twilight)
Warlocks should have tele-step
Also.. Bungie.. Give me some damn Beards in character creation!!! Also the ability to alter your appearance without making a new toon.
• Cinematic Story
- Grimoire and lore being explored in the game through cutscenes and scripted cinematics. The latter being things like what was in the tutorial level from creepy Fallen ambience if you waited outside too long to them climbing on walls in the dark. Things that make the races stand out.
• Dynamic Bosses
- Bosses that I need to be on high alert fighting with my team. An Archon that climbs on walls and jumps from wall to wall would be awesome. Have it run at me. Have it teleport a few times rapidly. Make it do things that would always keep everyone on their guard. Lots of health is fine as long as you keep the fight interesting.
The Sunless Cell strike and Shield Bros are the closest examples right now.
• Dynamic Enemies
- Same with bosses; more interesting things enemies do.
• Keep Weapons and Armor Forever
- Keep it all relevant so we can have our own look and playstyle, allowing us to define ourselves in a growing world.
- Allow us to upgrade any armor rarity to a relevant status, being at least Legendary or Destiny 2's equivalent.
Destiny 2 to do list for Bungie:
1. dedicated servers
2. separate PvP weapons changes from PvE
3. the loot system we have right now
4. kill the Queen's brother in the most painful way imaginable
5. space combat
A single progression based leveling system, not a dual level/light BS random RNG system. A system based on time/activity investment.
A story, not an incoherent patchwork of information delivered through trading cards.
Character customization and modification feature, you should not have to delete a character and start over to change decisions made before ever playing the game.
Rewards, either have them or remove the screen at the end of each activity showing no rewards.
An open world with explorable areas, like the one discussed prior to release ("entire worlds").
Weapons and Armor that can be modified and upgraded from materials and parts scavenged and found by exploring the open world and locating hidden caches that are randomized for each player (a proper use for RNG). Hints to locations can be incorporated through quest lines. Higher level items can be secured behind randomly located enemy strongholds (some not all, just because you find enemies it doesn't mean something is there).
- Incorporate uses for stealth characteristics, sometimes it is better to acquire through stealth, not direct assault; some items may only be discoverable by getting past enemies undetected, discovery may mean long drawn out battles for little reward; others may be a smash and grab (encourages players to utilize different tactics to judge the rewards).
Weapons that are not subject to constant changes, if I find a weapon and upgrade it to suit the way I play LEAVE IT ALONE, stop artificially adjusting the players choices by constantly changing the weapons. If you can't figure out how to do that, base the weapons off data from real weapons and use real physics and the weapon is simply what it is, it doesn't adjust because someone can't learn to counter it. If weapon stagnation is a concern, include the changes to the physics of the planets; weapons will perform differently and change the player choices depending where the guardian is fighting. And/Or change the effectiveness of weapons against different enemies (including guardian subclasses), you know, the path the game was on before the elimination of elemental primaries. (Rock, Paper, Scissors type of choice/challenge).
Vehicles, why were there so many diverse vehicles in Halo, but only sparrow type vehicles in Destiny; yes I have a ship to look at during cutscenes.
And so much more, but I probably put most of you to sleep by now.
TL;DR
A lot of things, but first and foremost; progression, not RNG.
Edited to add vehicles.
Edit 2: Add uses for stealth.
No Micro transactions, better story, better reward system, depth, better skill tiers. The vanilla version to be packed with a lot of content, and the expansions to expand on that. It's not a far fetched idea, that's how games used to be made.
-1080p@60fps
-Snow and Sand like in Rise of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted 2/3
-weather and day and night cycle
-better water and fire effects
