Don't waste your time with 3OC, they ninja nerfed it to death...
What a -blam!-ing waste of time.
Edit: this is based on exactly the same farming techniques that I've used since the first 3OC nerf.
One coin every 15 minutes on an ultra. One exotic every 5-6 coins.
It's been nerfed somehow. :(
..p.s... COE drop rates were also ninja nerfed last Monday because Bungie freaked out about all the solo runs and speed runs.

I don't even go by the "10-15 minute" rule because the method i use loopholes right through it. Edit: PMing as a can. Patience, padawans. Edit2: Damn. This is the most PM's i have ever done. Also, for those wondering how i arrived at my ratio figures, i counted each and every use of 3oC over the course of a couple of weeks to make sure i was accurate. I still do, heh. Just in case things [i]do[/i] get ninja nerfed. Final edit: for everyone I've messaged, REMEMBER that RNG will always be a little fickle at times, so try it out for a couple of weeks to see what odds you get before coming back to lynch me if you have a poor streak here and there, heh. It does feel that way. But hey my special engram turned into Zen Meteor this morning so I cant hate RNG today :) But I would be very surprised if they did stealth nerf something like that. And it's still a great way to earn exotics while playing how you want to play.

2 답변작성자: F GGY TIME 4/25/2016 11:16:05 AMNo it's more like 1 exotic every 8-10 coins. I count how many exotics I'm getting based on every 10 coins I buy. I buy 50 I should be getting at least 5, 100 = 10 , etc. My rotation is usually After first exotic that drops. I pop two, next ultra pop 2, next ultra pop 2, that's 6 so far. Then I begin to pop only 1 from there, about 90% of the time from that 7th to 10th coin I will get an exotic. Sometimes it goes over to the 11th or 12th coin but very rarely. Time doesn't seem to be a factor really as I have used up to ten coins within 8-10 mins of farming through COE bosses and drops stay consistent with my theory.

What's stupid about this is that the only reason I grind strange coins is for 3OC. So by making them unless they are slowing down progress for sure, but they are also removing the reason to play most of the game. I have no need for legendary marks outside of IB, and now if they nerf 3OC, no real need for strange coins either. Motes are the only real currency worth anything now, at least you can rank up factions with them for a package.

I usually forget i have them to be honest but when I remember I usually get drops...first week of CoE I tried one for each boss one just at the first and one just at the last and one time I only tried it on SYLOK THE DEFILED!!! Once right before he died and got a drop same with the servitor [spoiler]I stopped popping them like molly's and noticed more drops[/spoiler] I didn't notice an increased chance at all with the different uses but I did use one just before they died and usually get one

Someone posted that when he was grindind the ultra knight on dreadnuaght that body shots were the way to go...I havnt tried it out so I can't confirm...but I know for sure he doesn't drop exotics like he use to...I mainly do head shots so going to try body shots this week

2 답변I personally think that everyone thinks there's some sort of cool down on them but in reality, there isnt. Unless I'm missing some sort of post/proof that bungie officially released saying that. I feel like, with the exception of when they first came out and you were pretty much guaranteed a drop every 4 to 6 coins, that I've been getting the same drop rate consistenly. Usually 1 out of every 8 to 10 coins gave me a drop. There's been some times during the rsid where I would luckily get a 2 drops from the shade

1 답변I've noticed that my drops are basically gone on my 330 Warlock but still are OK on my lower level characters. Is this what Bungie have done? Nerfed your exotics after 330 to slow you down? Anyone else?

2 답변I haven't noticed a difference. Keep in mind, if you use a coin and don't get an exotic, you don't have to wait, you can immediately use another one and have a chance at the next Ultra. I've tested this in Challenge of the Elders plenty of times. :)

I'm not seeing it. Got two yellows out of the mars strike thingy . Popped a.toc at the sol progeny got a yellow engram...popped another just afore rockets mcdickface. ...another yellow popped up. Universal remote and a telesto. That was yesterday.
