As somebody as skeptic as me who went to a catholic school for 8 years. I've always looked at the Old Testament as joke because of how ridiculous some of the stories were. The New Testament made more sense (sorta.) but the old, just wow. Lmfao.[spoiler]im an open minded atheist.[/spoiler]

If ones morality is derived from anything other than empathy, it's imposed if not at least questionable. That's why it's questionable at the very least. When I questioned it, I found it to be pretty evil.

Most of the things said in it aren't what we live by. The New Testament explains how we should live today. The Old Testament can still teach us stuff, but it's mostly meant to explain the backstory of the New Testament. It's like a history book that tells how things went on before Jesus came, and further tells us how not to live as well.

1 답변Old Testament is 90% made up stories to teach life lessons and explain existance/god and 10% hatred for things people in the b.c. times didn't understand.

9 답변Who said Catholics think it's evil? Oh and btw, don't count all the random little sects of Christianity. Catholicism represents it as a whole mainly, since it's the original and it includes the Vatican.
