My personal vote is for snipers. All it takes is a few garbage snipers to lock down the map. The lack of sway when shot makes it impossible to close in on them forcing you to play their way. I love the game and don't really play crucible much (and I hardly touch Trials due to the sweat) and I'm not calling for nerfs or anything because at this point I'm not sure there is anything Bungo can do.
This sniper rifle nonsense is the worse only because a sniper rifle can drop you at any range with one bullet in a split second. At least with shotguns you needed to be relatively close and the hand cannons needed a couple of shots.
While people will say that snipers are the same as they've always been, we've never had so many people using them before. It was extremely rare in Year One to have a group sniping in the back of the map where you couldn't even see them.
Personally, I don't think BungIe's "fix" will work. I think that all weapons should cause some sort of screen shake/stagger based on the impact of each bullet, if it was a critical, and if it were explosive/high caliber rounds. Your armor rating could mitigate some of it and there could even be new helmet perks for it as well. Now, the effects wouldn't be so severe that you couldn't fight back. Depending on what your using, your odds would be better. Auto rifles, pulse rifles, and machine guns would have more resistance. While snipers and hand cannons would have the least resistance. Whether you're ADSing would play a factor, as well.
