Seriously though. A liberal politician says they want to improve the background check system, by the time it gets through right wing media it comes out has "lets take away all your guns and abolish the second amendment"
A conservative says they want to reform the immigration system and by the time it gets through left wing media it comes out as "lets kick out all the immigrants".
I also found that conservatives are far more guilty of this *cough* FOX *cough*.
Stop generalizing issues and negotiate. A deadlocked system can't do anything.

1 답변The polarizing effect of the two party system is giving rise to the Libertarian Party, so... I'm not complaining. If a dysfunctional and authoritarian state is what it takes for people to realize how valuable liberty is, so be it.

1 답변Oh yes.. Conservatives are guilty of this. I read the NYTimes, Washington Post, and various news clippings from all sorts of outlets every day. It's all bullshit. Its all biased. If you want a fun exercise, look at Al Jazeera, the BBC, and the Times. Look at the perspectives. The Times is still my favorite, it's well written. The real problem is that both liberals and conservatives have correct political philosophies. Neither are wrong and neither are correct. They both possess a lot of truth. We demand ideological purity, but the world isn't ideologically pure.

7 답변Conservatives are just factually and morally wrong overall. Even science shows that. See?

8 답변People love binary "choices". This or that and they think that they've then made the "best choice". Put in too many alternatives, multiple options, subtle differences and they realize that choice is more complicated than they really want it to be. And so, by presenting only 2 options, people can be manipulated. They can be forced to choose the less bad choice and still think that it was a good decision. People can then polarize into easy to manage "us and them" groupings where either side believes they have made the "best choice" when in fact, they were simply herded into making a choice that was only "less bad". So, why can't people "get along despite their differences"? Because they're lazy and don't want to.

3 답변Liberals are fags that's why. It's a fact.....also talking about Fox News... Look at every single other media outlet, newspaper, Hollywood, it's all liberal run. All of it, so don't act like fox is some horrible thing. It's fox against allllll the others. This isn't a maybe, you can't argue that. Every single other news outlet leans heavily liberal.
