Socialised healthcare is shite Look at Canada, our provinces are working off barebones budgets because ~40% of the GDP goes to paying these doctors of which there are too little (because pay is trash) and they only have to work 3hr shifts Québeçois supreme court found the system a violation of human rights in 2005. Was a monopoly and was shitty.

Good luck finding a doctor with Obamacare, because it's not like any docotr accepts it, and good luck getting it in the first place using our shit website! Universal health care is dumb. A lot of private health care companies will create competition in the market and provide lower health care costs. Without taxing everyone more.

91 답변We have a two tier system in Canada. Works fine. Wait times can be lengthy in large metropolitan centers, but for alittle cash you can bypass that if you can't wait. I've had occasion to use both and no complaints. My wife needed life saving surgery once, we went to a hospital, it was taken care of within a day...no charge to us. I had a badly ingrown toenail once, paid a couple hundred bucks, had it removed, walked out that afternoon. The system works, providing it's managed correctly and hospitals are properly staffed.

38 답변And how much R&D do these public healthcare systems do? How many cutting edge medical techniques and procedures do they develop? How many new drugs do the develop? Or do they depend on the private healthcare system of the US for this stuff? Face it. The US is on the forefront of cutting edge medical research, development, and innovation. And these public healthcare systems reap the benefit all the while mocking us and claiming we're backwards because we still have a private healthcare system.

4 답변Alright. I live in Canada and am some what familiar with how the states' healthcare works. So correct me if I make a mistake. In the states, citizens pay private insurance companies for a policy that pays their healthcare costs, if they're even covered for certain care. Obama care expands on that essentially subsidizing the difference that people can't afford, but private insurance is still involved. In Canada each province has their own healthcare system. I live in Alberta and used to pay premiums of $44 a month to my provincial government until they decided the budget is balanced enough that they can forgo payments for now. The video makers went to Quebec, one of the most liberal provinces in Canada. If you want to make a point about universal healthcare, and a bad one at that, you go to Quebec. This province only survives because of our stupid equalization payments for provinces that are "under funded". I'm not saying Obama care is good. It sounds completely backwards. There's too many middle men. The worst thing about universal health care, to me anyways, is that people abuse it. The go to the ER for a cough, a fûcking cough, and they clog up the system.

7 답변It's funny, because the Republican party had a very similar idea to the Affordable Care Act in 1993.

5 답변It's not like it's impossible. Obamacare has only really benefited the poor and the insurance companies, though. That wouldn't be terrible if it hadn't adversely effected everyone else. Our private system has huge advantages liberals refuse to talk about, though. It's not a coincidence that we lead in research and cutting edge medical technology.
