EDIT: Alright maybe not to "win" but certainly to "gain an advantage very quickly over non paying users" and undermine players who earn their gear through grinding legitimately.
Regarding the "cosmetic" armor.
You can now buy as much armor as you want until you get the perfect stat/perk roll
Then due to the new infusion system, you can bring that perfectly crafted armor into the end game at top light level
EXAMPLE:
So if you get a 320 drop from King's fall now, you don't like the stats too much and you deal because that's the highest the armor can go. Or you infused one piece of gear you EARNED through another activity.
Now I buy 100 armor pieces until I get a perfect set of stats/perks and then infuse it with the top light level drop I get.
So before you had to settle and now you can pay to optimize your gear set.
EXAMPLE 2
You slave away every week for the hope of a chest piece with a high DIS/STRENGTH roll with rocket launcher ammo and solar armor for a chestpiece for your Sunsinger warlock. It takes you ages to play enough to get one to drop with those stats/perks and looks good. You do a couple of raids and infuse that thing to 320 after infusing it multiple times.
Someone else just payed 200 Silver to instantly receive the same chestpiece. They do a raid and now make it the same light level as yours.
They paid to get a perfect chestpiece with no work that a free user has to hope for in a drop after playing the game for a long time.
How can you guys not see the pay to get ahead aspect of that? A paying user gets the same gear a free user does at a much faster rate with less work to get the gear, with the almost the same work to infuse it.
Oh if you don't know the new infusion is 100%. So a 335 gear infused into 3 gear is 335.
Edit 2: "YOU RETARD IT'S ONLY 3 LIGHT! HOW IS THAT PAY TO WIN? WHAT AN IDIOT!"
^People in this thread who didn't read the post and don't see the real issues about what this means both now and for the future of this game going right over their heads because they are too busy thinking what emote they should buy to distract them from the taste of Bungie's cock in their mouths
EDIT 3: HAHA -blam!- ALL OF YOU SAYING THAT THE GEAR HAS 0 STATS. THE WEEKLY UPDATE SAYS THAT ALL GEAR WILL HAVE THE PERKS AND STATS AT RANDOM AND NOT TAKE ON THE STATS OF THE GEAR INFUSED.
CALLING ME A MORON WHEN I WAS RIGHT AND ALL OF YOU WERE WRONG.

1 답변I ignore all that "pay to win" "BS" I am a true gamer I don't buy my "lives" I earn my lives. As a gamer I ignore all that and just enjoy the game for what it is a "Game". Destiny is a great game and I have been playing a long time... If you have to pay then good for you, you have spent real world dollars on things that does nothing for you in reality. Just grind and get the gear for free, in all honesty it's not that hard of a game. Remember to just have fun. See you in the game.

2 답변Are you implying that you don't earn the gear that you use as infusion fodder? Doesn't sound like pay to win.

So buy as many things as you want, it's not gonna do you any good until you play enough to get a randomly rewarded piece of armor that randomly happens to be the light level you want.
How can you guys not see the pay to win aspect of that? A paying user gets the same gear a free user does at a much faster rate with less work to get the gear, with the almost the same work to infuse it.
What you just described is paying for time... which doesn't win you anything. The only difference is whether you want to pre-obtain the pieces of armor you want to infuse later after playing, or get them while in the process of playing... It's all just gambling for random chances no matter how you try to look at it.
-
Yes cause you're going to gamble just to get a perfect role honestly if someone does that then it's the biggest waste of money ever. It's better to just play the game instead of wasting your money on armour that you probably will get tired of once you get better armour lol
-
You say it's "pay to win" then state it's not really pay to win, then further go on mentioning how it IS pay to win. You either need to commit, or get out of here. You can't work both sides and expect to make a valid point.

1 답변I call you a moron because you think everyone has the same amount of time available to put into a game that they enjoy. Some people only have a few hours a week they can put into the game, yet some extra money that they decide to put into the game to get some gear someone takes for granted as a rng (random, this not earned) drop that took twenty hours or more to get.

4 답변The armor from those packages don't have perks, they get the perks and stats from the armor you use to infuse it. So it's not pay to win, it's more like "pay to look a little different faster than everyone else who is going to look a little different from playing the game."
Sounds like cosmetics? Right??
2 답변Until they sell specific guns or armor that has a higher light level than anyone else can earn for FREE, shut up. Seriously just shut up. These threads pile up every time they announce something for sale with eververse and guess what. It's never allowed anyone to "pay to win", nor has it ever negatively effected any players game experience for not purchasing. Just shut up with the constant bitching.

3 답변작성자: Allah 3/31/2016 4:35:37 AMI can see what you are saying because I've literally spent months trying to get perfect sets for everything. I want tier 5 INT and DIS for minimum timers on super and nades. I also want to have variations in that gear, for example different ammo types on boots and reload types on gauntlets. So instead of me having to endlessly farm marks to buy engrams for on the Cryptarch I can now pay 50-60 bucks and get all that stuff done in 5 minutes. I'm not sure if I like it or love it or hate it.

1 답변PlayStation gets gear that I don't have so is playing on PS pay to win? I get where you are coming from and know this can be the start of something awful but I don't think it's a big deal. More of a waste of money honestly.

1 답변
Stop it Bungie. You are slowly ruining this game. First Emotes which are ok, but now -blam!-ing armor! I don't care if they are 3 defense that is straight pay to play! Edit: While I'm grinding for gear others are just buying it! That's why it's messed up! Also even though it is level 3 it has a 1:1 infusion ratio so it is as powerful as your best gear. Edit: Do you people not understand that Bungie is just turning this game into a cash grab system of MicroTransactions? Gear no matter what level should not be able to be bought if it makes a difference to your character's ability to play the game. Edit: This situation is nothing like sparrows as sparrows make no statistical difference to your character unlike gear. Edit: If Bungie didn't ease us into their MicroTransactions scam in Y2 with sparrows I know this shit wouldn't have flown in Y1

Just wait till they slide guns into Eververse. You can't just introduce pay-to-win. You have to slide it in discretely in phases, slowly. Phase 1 was emotes. Some people got pissed, saw the plan that was about to be unfolded, and called them out instantly. Then time passes, everyone gets used to it and eventually accepts it. Phase 2 was the SRL log book. This gave people extra quests that you had to buy the book to complete (glitch aside). Now you are giving people extra content for paying a few bucks. Again, some people saw it and called Bungie out. And again, time passes and it becomes accepted by the masses after awhile. Phase 3. Where we are now. Add in armor pieces to the cash store that start off at low levels. People scream, people cry, people call them out. But time will pass, and it will slowly and successfully be implemented and accepted. Phase 4. Add guns. Of course, put them at light level 1 for all we care, so they have to be leveled up or whatever. So it's not "technically" pay to win, but it is. They are doing it, and doing it in a clever way. Spoon feeding the community garbage, very slowly. And people are eating it up, slowly. Congrats to Bungie's PR / Marketing team, they are very good at what they do. They set out to milk all of you for every possible cent, and they are doing it.

I agree... Next they'll be selling weapons from Eververse but claiming its not pay to win, because you still have to infuse another weapon into it, and all of the Desticles will take to the forums to defend them... Newsflash... Free to play / pay to win type games ALWAYS give you an in game path to progress / get gear / etc... That's how they hook you into spending money by making progress / drop rates extremely low... This is NOT a free to play game, so they shouldn't be selling armor via microtransactions...

This cannot go unpunished. Bungie needs to know its community will not be pushed around like this. I feel bad to those who agree with Bungie's decision as you don't know the outcome of their decision.
8 답변작성자: SmashvilleViking 3/31/2016 3:19:11 AMThat gear didn't have stats on it. It only had perks. If you want to waste a piece of gear with good stats on a piece with no stats, go for it.

1 답변The armour doesn't come with stats. It inherits them from the piece you dismantle for infusion. If you want to spend $ so your gun reloads .04 seconds quicker, that's your business, but it gives you no advantage over non paying players. There is precisely 0 in game advantage to buying these armour pieces, until such time as there is, or being able to buy game time, it's not pay to win. A slot machine, sure (which is arguably worse) but not pay to win.

4 답변작성자: Diab3ticBatman 3/30/2016 11:45:57 PMIf the armor perks were a make or break scenario, I would agree with you. Considering that having extra machine gun ammo on boots doesn't matter much, I don't see your point. I've done every hard raid besides kings fall in full iron banner gear in the past, and kings fall in all blue. Not to mention the 260 light version of prison is gonna be pretty easy, as will be the crucible playlist, so sterling is easy to get. I doubt raid requirements are going to become "must have rain blows on gauntlets or don't bother", so either you are trolling, or you just need something to whine about. Also just to clarify, I am pretty sure they said that whatever stats of the armor you infuse into it is what it ends up. It's purely cosmetic, but if you infuse a 320 piece of gear that has hand cannon loader, then that 3 light armor will be a 320 piece with hand cannon loader. It's cosmetic, as the stats of the armor you replace it with does not change, just the look of the armor does. If "he looks better than my raid gear character" is pay to win, then you don't know what that word means.
