Then one time I was called I sat in a waiting room for 6 hours in the middle of Detroit before they just sent me home without even asking me a question. And a month later they sent me a check for $15 for my day. Worst money ever, didnt even cover the cost of parking It made me despise that city even more than I already did.

Read the post. Saw the comments. Said wow, really people? Re-read the post. Said okay understand where the hate is coming from. Like most people said, do your civic duty. If you have a legit reason, then no creativity needed.

작성자: QuiscalusMajor 3/24/2016 10:56:19 PMthey'll go through a selection process (they call it 'voire dire') if you're chosen to be part of a jury pool, during this process the prosecution and defense attorneys will have a chance to ask you questions and stuff. they might ask you what you do for a living, about your familiarity with the location of the incident, the people involved, whether you have prior personal experience or have a family member who has been through a similar issue, etc. etc. -- the closer you can link yourself to the incident, the less they're gonna want you on the jury. if it happened at a local restaurant and you've been going to that place to eat since you were like twelve and know all the employees by name, tell them. if the accused works in the same profession as you do and you feel you might sympathize with them accordingly, tell them. if you live in the same neighborhood as the accused and know who they are, tell them. if your dad is currently serving time for this exact same crime, tell them. they can't penalize you for being honest, but they _can_ if they think you're lying to get out of serving on that particular jury, so beware of extremist statements like 'i believe in the death penalty for all crimes' and stuff.

They do an interview to see if you're fit to be on a jury. So just give them the wrong answers. If they ask you "What makes someone guilty?" say something like, "Their face. I can tell when someone is guilty just by looking at their face." or something else completely absurd.

2 답변Claim you have a bias in the case. Then claim to be racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-Islamic, or any other bigoted point of view. Or, if you don't want to seem like such an a**, claim that you don't like the government. At this point, you can be as logical or illogical as you want. Want to claim they killed your uncle? Do it! Want to claim they control your mind through fillings? Do it! Alternatively, claim that you have some sort of special need. Such as a poor understanding of the English language, extreme social anxiety, or anything that might impede your understanding of the case or your sharing of your opinion. The best option is to claim that you have an outstanding warrant for your arrest. Bonus points for claiming its for killing witnesses, judges, or an entire court room.
