If The World Is Round Why Has All It's Water Not Drained to the South Pole?

Besides the intuitively demonstrable proofs I have offered elsewhere, I would like to offer this common sense observation: water flows downhill. If the world were in fact round as you all believe, oceans, rivers, lakes, all bodies of water would flow to the south pole. You can prove this: go up on your roof and dump out a bucket of water. Where does it go? Down, of course. How would a round earth be any different?
The soldiers of truth and reason of the Flat Earth Society have drawn the sword, and ere another generation has been educated and grown to maturity, will have forced the usurpers to abdicate. Like the decayed and crumbling trees of an ancient forest, rent and shattered by wind and storm, the hypothetical philosophies, which have hitherto cumbered the civilized world, are unable to resist the elements of experimental and logical criticism; and sooner or later must succumb to their assaults. The axe is uplifted for a final stroke - it is about to fall upon the primitive sphere of the earth, and the blow will surely “cut the cumberer down!” http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/tiki/tiki-index.php
• Hey, why don't you ask the astronauts in the space station how their space station doesn't simply float away. To answer your bizarre question though, it is a combination of both the Earth's gravitational forces pulling the water towards itself, the spin of the earth creating a centrifugal effect and the moon's pull on the water (creating tides) that causes our oceans to behave the way they do. The moon would never orbit a flat object very well and there is no end of the earth edge at all, thus, the earth is elliptical.

Hello again! The planet has no top and no bottom- the planet could actually be completely upside down compared to how we have learned to accept it. The North Pole is not the top of a hill but rather a point of positive magnetism, the South Pole is the opposite, it isn't the bottom of a hill but a point of negative magnetism (positive and negative doesn't necessarily mean up or down, they are just opposing ends of the same force). Gravity draws all matter towards the core of the planet rather than the South Pole as the centre of the core is it's the point where the positive and negative forces attract. Sneaky edit: the image you linked completely neglects the fact that other planets also orbit our sun, eight planets and a number of other celestial bodies don't circle the sun by chance. Rovers on Mars have spectates Martian night and day just like a Terrian night and day, suggesting to the point of shining flashing neon lights towards it that Mars has the same (although longer) solar orbit as Earth. Like your other post (which you have kindly linked) there are some serious flaws to your logic- if you want to be an OG flat-Earther you cannot neglect universal physics! I applaud you for trying however.

                • Well that's if gravity were pulling everything in a southern direction. Then water would fall off at the South Pole. While I realize flat earthers don't buy into gravity you have some way of explaining weight. For us "Spherists" it's that everything with mass attracts other masses to it's center. The More mass an object has the stronger that pull. The measurement of this affect is called weight. We can test this by observing the extremely tiny differences in weight we experience the further away from the surface of the earth.

                  • By Mr EGFC
I apologise for the upcoming essay, however the response isn't simple enough to put in few words. Please stick it out if you can though and if you can also argue it even better. Earth generates its own gravitational field from the magnetic polarity of its core (which rotated at the same speed as Earth, hence why we don't fly away as immense speed when we jump), the poles emit their fields in either a positive or negative charge but they connect and change polarity to the opposite around to the equator, which is why water spins in different directions when it is drained on either side of the equator. This is felt identically 360 degrees around the Earth, (evidenced by the orbit of the ISS, as if it slightly disaligned from perfectly straight against the circumference of flat Earth it would be thrown with increasing speed towards the North or South Pole then stop instantaneously when it reaches it, crushing it into a genuine 2d object)- the same thing is shown in spherical magnets. Circular magnets have a oval shaped field rather than the spherical one the Earth has. If the Earth was flat the moon would be drawn to either the North or South Pole (whichever it was closer to) and the other side of the planet would never see it. If you believe each side of the planet has habitable land on it, then there would be a steep curve when trying to cross the equator, which could be nearly impossible to climb up and you would then fall a great distance at terminal velocity when you crossed over the equator, making flying across it extremely turbulent- which is to say would bend the plane as it flew across it. Additionally Everyone who has been to space would have to lie about the true shape of the Earth (which admittedly is an easy task considering how few people have been there) and every camera that has filmed or photographed Earth would have to have been modified to warp the image of the planet into a spherical shape- but not anything else it films or photographs. If the entire planet was on one face, the "Blue Marble" should show the entire planet rather than just Asia and Austrilasia and the Earth would defy the laws of magnetism (where the South Pole would encompass the entire circumference of the planet and someone standing there would be stretched across the entirety of the 40,075km). Regarding the paper plane and the truck analogy, it's a good one but not wholly true. You see, the Earth spins at 1040km/h (not 10,000mph) and what we define as being motionless is actually moving at that speed, but so is everything else (the earth must spin for Days and nights to occur or we would all be in a night or day at the same time and wouldn't need time zones) and it is all being forced down by the gravitational field of Earth (In order for you to let the world spin underneath you, you must be outside of the atmosphere where there are not particles nor forces propelling you forward to match the speed of Earth's rotation, therefore you fall towards Earth at the same speed or slower as you fall away from it- Orbiting). If your car was moving at 50km/h on Earth, in the grand scheme of the Universe it's actually moving at 1090km/h. When you let go of the plane from that car, it loses speed becuase it is colliding with particles that are moving slower than it and it does not have the means to increase it's speed, like a car or a person, which returns it to the speed of the particles. When you jump directly up, you do actually loose a tiny amount of speed however the velocity/mass ratio of a human is so great that in any time a human is in the air for unassisted it is nearly zero and Earth's gravity ensures you are pushed back down to the ground. Flat Earth theory is undenyibly interesting to read on as sometimes there is a genuinely convincing argument for it, however spherical Earth theory is far more consistent and there is much more evidence for it.
