Ok. So what are everybodies opinions on snipers in this game?
Do they need a tweak?
More of a nerf?
Balancing in general?
My opinion is that with a skilled hand. They should be OP. But the aim assist is just too high sometimes. Makes it wayyyy too easy.
But not with all snipers. 1000 yard aim assist is probably the best. It has high aim assist. And can res snipe. Personally I think only exotics should be able to res snipe. Makes it slightly more fair imo and makes you trade off one of your exotic primaries to do so.
And the fast fire rate some have is also sometimes bad. Yes you blow through ammo. But it's not hard to obtain it and body shots do far too much damage in my opinion.
I don't know. I don't want an argument. Just let us know down Below what you think needs to happen or maybe doesn't need to happen?
Cheers
Edit::: please don't just talk about the aim assist guys. I replied below on a few as to why I used 1000 yard stare as my example. But I want you to give opinions on the overall weapons. Not just 1 single one. I'm not calling for super nerfs. Maybe just flinching buff. That's it. But that's just me. That's it.
Cheers

1 답변I find destiny pvp sniping to much casual. Don't get me wrong, people who actually have skills are even better than the others. But is not as competitive and skilful as many think it is

2 답변The problem lies in primaries not being what they should be. Also, 1,000-Yard Stare is in the middle of the pack at 56 base. It's nothing compared to Hereafter or Weyloran's March. Hell, even Glass Promontory has higher AA than it.

1 답변Too much focus on specials and not enough on primary's, people still use shotguns and snipers as there primary weapon! It's part of the reason the pvp is a joke!

3 답변Any reticle that's pointed in your skull is going to kill you whether is close, medium or far range.. Don't punished a skill hand just because.. And any changes to any guns is not going to make a difference to the skilled hands, they will learn to adopt and will continue to wreck you again and again. Best way to deal is to get better by practice.

3 답변Aim assist isn't an issue. Adding more flinch or a de-scoping mechanic would fix the problems. My only problem with snipers is that they are still usable while someone is shooting you with a primary. As for res sniping... I hate res shields and I think any sniper should be able to res snipe.

2 답변작성자: Stentorian Lid 3/22/2016 7:32:24 AMI think that aim assist should be very minimal on snipers, quick scoping should not be a very successful "strategy" but I think body shots are fine, halo has had 2 body shots for years and no one seemed to care enough to make them change it, why is it a problem in Destiny

3 답변Nah. I think that no over shields should be given to the person getting revived - but, the animation should be much shorter. -then all guns can Rez snipe

1 답변Wait so people were begging for shotguns to be nerfed then it happened right? So people picked themselves up snipers and now people are complaining about them does that mean snipers are gonna get nerfed and fusion rifles become good again?

1 답변I used the black spindle (30-40 AA) and it's lower value still caused a scary amount of scope movement. When I was trying to one shot off a Rez in trials, someone ran past the Rez-ee (smart move) and I swear the scope moved like a 1kys with shortgaze and hidden hand. I missed the runner and the Rez-ee.

7 답변Its all stupid. Get rid of one shot snipes all together Were guardians of the universe but our helmet construction needs work... what? I mean no ones noticed since taken king that people are constantly left with this miniscule amount of health? They didnt balance anything they just made it take longer for your health to go down in any given situation, thats why everything started to get -blam!-ed up. When they went to actually tweek things certain guns got more damage or less hence the hoopla about doctrin or mida or invective. They dnt know what the hell theyre doing

9 답변Descope/flinch when hit Yeah snipers can flinch pretty bad, but it's pointless if the aim resets itself back down in between shots Sway while moving Players hardscoping a wall head level and taking 3 steps out around a corner and headshoting somebody who had 0 reaction time is under no circumstances fair when a sniper can carry over 20 rounds and respawn with it. Stats Don't even know where to begin.. 1k by far takes the cake. Body shot brings a player to half red with max armor, great AA, what're it's drawbacks? Stability? There's perk rolls for that. Mag? 4 is great for a 1-2 shot kill weapon. Fire rate? Maybe. But 1 hit to half red health the fire rate is actually quite high. Reload? Shut up. Add the perks like Armor piercing rounds, counter balance, army of one, partial refund, snapshot, or life support and any sniper becomes op. In short, they kinda hold a heavy ammo capability. No I'm not saying make them heavy weapons (though it woulda made sense from the start) but these are all easy things to understand in a multiplayer are not making sense. People should pay attention more to what's going on in their matches.

I like snipers and quiet enjoyed trials this weekend, I made idiots out of all the "res snipers" I use the glass promontory. Thing absolutely melts, does 166 on a crit after res but it shoots so fast that killing shot more often then not gets them. I ran into a bunch of sniper only teams and one team who ended up Molly whopping My team kept trying to snip us as we crossed to the churches side. I usually kept teams from trying to snipe at all after round 3. That being said snipers have been my favourite weapons in multiplayer games for like the last 7 years and destinys is laughably easy to snipe in. I do feel res sniping should never be a thing. Special ammo is still broken as I usually had around 18 shots after the first round of collecting. Sniping in destiny has no down sides, you can rapidly tap your left trigger and suffer nothing for being in your scope, it's a one-2 shot kill in every scenario although I have no clue how it could really be balanced in destiny as every map is to tiny for travel time and duller drop

6 답변Alright I hope I do a good job explaining this. I think we should be able to make a sniper de-scope. But it should take a pretty decent amount of damage within a short time frame to do it. I don't think 1 scout shot or a couple auto bullets but a pretty good amount of damage within a specific short amount of time. Sort of like how crotas shield works.
