To save huge walls of text excuses, heres a handy numbering system for the top 5 excuses in wall of text form, so you can simply comment a number.
1. Life. Im married, have kids, job..yada yada. I can type a 20 minute forum post but i cant sign in for a 15 minute checkpoint. Ive got 600 hours on patrol, but raid time is a real hassle to find. I rule so much at life that i can also fall back on that as an excuse when people ask why i have 0 raid clears.
2. Evil 'elitists' wont let me join because im low light. God forbid i ignore those and set up my OWN post with my OWN requirements. But fk that! I dont raid with other low light scrubs. Yeah, im low light too. But im special. Again, i can type up a 20 minute rant, but typing my own lfg and setting up a party blows my mind
3. I played kings fall once and it was kind of boring...meh...i dont care honest. Its not at all because the game threw me a curveball and made it so i have to jump from rock to rock. Which i cant do because tapping x then canceling x as you land is like a rocket science. So boring.
4. Meh..yr 1 was better. Yr 2 raids suck. Im a vog hero. A crota badass (even though i stood on a ledge doing zilch, and touching a sword was scarier than that one time i touched a vagina 10 years ago) basically kf added new mechanics for 6 people other than 1 guy doing a job and 5 just standing there as dead weight. Im the dead weight.
5. I quit raiding after vog, raids suck in general. Translated: the difficulty blew my feeble mind thus rendering me in a complete state of utter terror of trying a raid ever again. I do have 2000 hours on patrol though, a 1.5 k grimoire and 150 failed black spindle attempts. I also hang around the forums telling anyone who will listen that destiny sucks, meanwhile im knocking out strike no. 5000.

I'm sure a lot of people with wives, jobs and 2.5 kids yada yada blah blah blah would definitely take those 20 minutes to raid if they could do it solo. Funny thing about being an adult is that it's very difficult to find five other adults with 20 mins that match up with your 20 mins. I'm also going to dispute your 15 min check point. Maybe for you superstar but probably not for most casuals. I've completed the raid but organizing the group was a raid in and of itself. If you get in there with randoms most likely you will end up in a group who will have an aneurysm BC you didn't memorize the raid like you are studying for the MCAT. So yes, point 1 is a legit excuse. Edit: damn you tricked me. I could have used this time to do the raid. Curses

But honestly, i do stand by the essence of the sarcastic points i made above. Watching a few videos then making a team to try out a checkpoint or 2 isnt that time consuming mate. I have friends, some with 3 kids and who work 50 hour+ jobs, and an active social life. They all raid. All it takes is initiative to set up a team. For whatever reason, a lot of people cant take that first step. Im no superstar, look at my k/d. Im below average at fps games lol. I just set up my own teams whenever i get on, and i learned the mechanics. All the raid is, is repetition snd mechanics. So easy to learn even for average players such as myself. Ps. your on my friends list bro. I see you on nearly all the time im on. If you ever needed to get a 15/20 min checkpoint done, all you'd have to do is ask. I get messaged all the time by buddies who i referenced above who have wife, kids, job etc and unless im busy i never say no. You could invite me to a raid whenever, you'll notice im always active in raids, thats me jumping in with buddies that invite me for help or just to chill or whatever. So i think my points are valid despite the overly sarcastic and provocative tone lol

Yes, indeed, I am on a lot. 90% of the time is pvp Trust me it's not from lack of trying as far as finding groups. If you look back at my posts, even today you will see I try to form groups. The thing is there are A LOT of dick heads on here that act like this is some Last Starfighter simulator and we are really trying to save the world. They take all the fun out of it when they take it that seriously. That being the case I only raid with casuals for the most part BC I know it will be laid back. Unfortunately casuals are an unreliable sort. I've been stood up more times than I've attempted the raid. Still preferable than playing with people that vacuum all the fun out of a GAME. Its a very delicate balance finding a group and still maintain the enjoyment level. This isn't directed at you per se but just another perspective to your post. So if you don't mind playing with a bunch of dirty scruby casuals I'll invite you.

Thats fair enough. I understand there is some dicks, but a lot of so called 'elitists' are really just guys looking for a fast run. Heres one example, one week i ran 6 or 7 raids. For my first 3 i made a high light post and requested all the relevent weapons etc. I always assemble solid teams tue/wed so i can finish fast and play pvp all week or help buddies or whatever. This results in getting a good team, but lots of hate mail on the side. Then i do 3 or 4 weekend carrys for my cousin and most of his buddys, and suddenly the 'elitist jerk' from tuesday, is suddenly the best guy in the world saturday night. Its all about pereption. Thats why i stir the pot on posts like this, because the people who blame others without trying really grind me the wrong way lol. And i dont mind playing with casuals at all bro, inv me anytime if you need a guy to make up the numbers. Im chill in the raid with anyone because im already capped out and not much to gain so i dont care about wiping or getting impatient with people over nothing. Most the guys i play with are 'filthy casuals' lol. But seriously, other than my brother, the 3 or 4 other main guys i play with most are all around 290-300 light. Theyre not much interested in raids just pvp and collecting guns. The raid weapons are shit so they're not interested in getting em. I cant really argue with that lol

I wasn't implying that you were one of the aforementioned dick heads but I do assume, perhaps incorrectly, that a 310-320 player does not want to deal with raid noobies. Honestly I understand that. Who wants to be stuck in a jump puzzle for an hour. Knowing that I may be that guy I'm reluctant to ask the higher ups to join in to save them the headache. Playing with casuals is [u]usually[/u] more forgiving. But yea, I don't care who I play with. I just want to have a fun run. I'll see you on.
