Well, here goes everything.
As a player of the alpha, and also both the closed and open betas, I consider myself very versed and proficient when it comes to all things The Division.
~ Thus, I Refute Thee.
The Division, when only glanced upon, is a brave new and exciting world for all those who have found boredom in their lives as Guardians of The Last City.
I will admit that as Destiny crumbles with a profound lack of new content, it is only natural that a majority, if not all, of the playerbase will swarm to find a new "Destiny" to seek shelter under. And so, with little time, The Division has been deemed worthy of being the so-called next "Destiny."
Well Guardians, those of you that believe this foolish lie are wrong. The Division is not your next "Destiny." It cannot even begin to hold water in comparison. You will buy this game and realize this soon enough.
Here's why:
1) Too much walking, not enough action.
Simply enough, the game overall lacks decent encounters and interactions while on the go. Sure there are some encounters, such as the medical ones, but how fun will those actually be after completing the same stagnant objective over and over again? They had a huge opportunity here to put in Public Events, but they failed to do so.
In terms of what I expect from a so-called "RPG," there should be something new and exciting around every corner, not a few kilometers away. In case it wasn't clear, I don't want to follow objective markers aimlessly down the streets of New York with little to nothing to do. Not to mention, almost 95% of all buildings are inaccessible. Where's the fun in not being able to explore and satisfying our curiosities?
2) Small map.
This is pretty apparent, and goes a lot with what I mentioned above. Not only is there nothing to do, but there's even less space to do it in. If you think about it, The Division is maybe 1/3rd the size of GTA V's map, which makes it pretty small in comparison. It also means you're going to be running out of things to do pretty fast. You simply can't go to orbit and say "Well, sure that place was cool, but let's go check out Venus." Instead, you'll inevitably find yourself stuck with nothing to do in a much smaller world, that's barely explorable, in comparison to most RPGs.
3) Dark Zone lacking across the board. (Especially for End-Game content).
If this is your excuse for End-Game content Ubisoft, then I'm not impressed. This so called "End-Game content" is PvP-driven, which is a mistake if you think about everyone who complained about Trials of Osiris.
It is completely dependent upon the cooperation of other humans who equally want to screw you over and loot you for all your worth. This is going to cause a lot of rage out in those Forums, let me tell you. When your ability to succeed at an End-Game level is so dependent on Player vs. Player interactions, then you're going to have problems period. This experience in The Dark Zone impacts your ability to succeed in the overall game which makes it even worse. If they were to add End-Game content that is more Player vs. Enemy driven then this issue really wouldn't exist.
4) There is no "loot-drive."
The number one thing that makes Destiny so compelling to play and dedicate hundreds of hours to is the loot system. As terrible as RNG may be, it keeps you playing the game. It keeps you wanting, groaning, carrying and fighting on, and finally celebrating. Not to mention the fact that Destiny's weapons in general are much more exotic (no pun intended), and way more fun to use.
When you spend hours sitting in front of a cave, staring down your barrel aimlessly and shooting into it until it glows and radiates with engrams, then you know a game is good.
5) Let's Get Real.
Do you really think you will find the same immersive and exhilirating multiplayer experience in The Division as you do in Destiny? One in which unites you and your Fireteam under one cause and one objective, one in which brings you and your Fireteam to tears at times and to triumphant cheers at others, and one that brings you and your Fireteam to the doorsteps of Darkness, as brothers bearing arms, ready to face the challenge, no matter the odds, in order to achieve victory and Become Legend?
I highly doubt it.
Edit: Did I mention the horrible graphics?
Edit: Wow 900+ replies you guys are amazing! Whether you agree or not, I appreciate everyone who stops by to offer their opinion.

You lost me at shooting into a cave until it glows with engrams means it's a great game. In reality that means there's nothing to do in that game but hope to god one of those hours spent shooting into a cave rewards you. I'm not gonna defend either of these games ever. Have fun with your two shitty games.

1. Yeah I'll agree with that one, but I know every enemy spawn in Destiny, what types are where, when, and how many. I can't tell you how many times already I've returned to an area in the open world of the Division where different enemies were there and they got the drop on me because they might be hiding or waiting for an ambush compared to standing plain in the open like Destiny. You can die in this open world, which is pretty hard to do in Destiny if you are even a decent player. 2. More to explore in one "small" map than all of Destiny combined, more interesting and morbid too. Destiny fails to make players care about the open world, I'm interested on how the virus got spread and what happened to the people who lived here. There has been some great and really funny moments of me finding Intel about people that lived here. Destiny gave me five gold chests with crap gear and ghosts that are interesting, but I have to READ IT OUTSIDE THE GAME. In the Division a hologram plays or a voice acted phone call comes out, character bios, security cam footage and it's all in the game. 3. Dark zone can be exhilarating and larger end game activities are coming very soon. There is a challenge mode for every single mission in the game. I bet you didn't know that. Each challenge mode is max level and has highest tier rewards as a possible drops. That's 28 of what I'd call "strike lite" content. They take just as long or longer and there is a boss at the end of each one. Right now there is only King's Fall which everyone is sick of and has been since at least November. There is a roadmap for the Division and I know exactly when I will get updates and content, free and paid all the way to winter. Can't say that about Destiny. 4. You are defending Destiny's loot system, especially when we sat for hours in front of a cave? REALLY? This game torments every player with its awful light infusion system that takes too many resources. How is that exciting at all? 90% of the times in strikes or crucible the guy doing jack shit gets the loot, we all have experienced it and know that to be true.
I will agree that the exotics in Destiny are way better than the division guns. Can't have space lasers and magic in a semi-realistic model of modern day New York
5. I rather team up with friends or go it alone in the Dark Zone PvP on dedicated servers that I haven't had an issue with. (I know some PS users certainly have, but I personally have not) then get matched with crap teammates that stand still a whole match or quit or get matched against the sweatiest of people who have a magic red bar that allows them to essentially be Deadpool between the never dying from damage, the teleporting, and the bullshit. Both games are different and can be fun but don't bash other people's game choice because you couldn't afford it or don't have any friends to play it with or just simply don't like it. GOOD DAY SIR!
Unless they are mobile "gamers" We can all agree that those people are THE WORST
The sad truth. I don't care about your opinion and I don't understand why anyone would. To me it's a great game. To you it's a God awful game. See we have different opinions. I don't care about yours and no one should care about mine. Everyone's entitled to their own.

19 답변
1) Too much walking, not enough action.
Examples of great games with lots of walking. -Witcher -Fallout -DayZ -H1Z1 -Skyrim
2) Small map.
The map is not small at all, not every map needs to be the size of GTA and a map that size would not work on a game like the Division. Not every map has to be so big you run for 10 min just to reach a quest.
3) Dark Zone lacking across the board. (Especially for End-Game content).
Lol, have you no mind? It was only a beta first off so we didn't get the full experience because we were limited to what what we can get and level. Second, there is going to be an update that turns all of NY into the Dark Zone. Third, this not, I repeat, NOT the only end game content for this game, a simple youtube search can privide that info or even google. Fourth, if you want to talk complete dependence on other humans cooperation then what about Trials of Osiris?
4) There is no "loot-drive."
Dumbest part, there is a loot drive and the only so far we have been able to reach in the beta is purple rated with yellow being the highest and all. The loot system in Destiny is just God awful because the RNG is unforgiving. Hey you played for 2000 hours and want that one exotic? Well too bad. Plus every weapon is the same in Destiny, in Division you can customize your weapon and make it your own.
When you spend hours sitting in front of a cave, staring down your barrel aimlessly and shooting into it until it glows and radiates with engrams, then you know a game is good.
What is so compelling about this? Shooting brain dead underleveld AI for hours aiming in one place? Ummm no thanks.
5) Let's Get Real.
Oh the irony.

Not everyone enjoys division, personally I think the map is very large and had quite a lot to do, it is always a new experience inside of the dark zone, but because of the big map I do kind of agree that there is a ton of walking (thank the lord for fast traveling). And overall I like it better than destiny a state right now, even though some people won't like it as much, it is a very enjoyable game and let's be real, no game is perfect and every game has a few things that players don't like and do like. (Sorry for any misspells or any bad grammar, I am tired from playing division ;) )

작성자: Halo Unto Dawn 3/8/2016 11:19:09 PMWell, no one can determine whether or not the game is living up to expectations yet, but most people are saying that it hasn't lived up to the hype. I have more points to make now, but I can't edit this post anymore thanks to the Ninja that edited it.
