The only thing we can be mad about is ourselves. Why is paid dlc a common practice: the gamers bought it. Why are season pass in every game: the gamers bought it. Why do games have less content: gamers buy unfinished games. The number one problem with gaming today is the gamers. Gaming has become more than a hoby for alot of people. For some gaming is all they do once they come from work. Its their life. Gaming is pretty much an addiction that most gamers, no matter how bad the games, will still buy because they need to game. The publishers and developers are well aware that gaming addiction is a thing and they know if they put out a good enough product: people will eat it up. You know what i can compare gamers to? Drug addicts. Just like them, gamers will buy a product they believe to not be worth it just for their fix. People can complain all they want about destiny but the truth is: you saw the vanilla product. You still bought the expansion pass (if you bought it before buying the game then you really dont deserve a say in this), and then when you keep complaining.... you buy the taken king... "But bungie said it was going to be better" yup and my parents told me santa was real when i was a kid. You ear the stories of lies, cut content and say "i shall not stand for this!" And then the next dlc comes and out goes the wallet. The gamers get all the blame in this situation, you dont like the company? Dont support it! By now you know what kind of product destiny will be, dont buy again if you want a different experience. Bungie has tons of players giving them money for the current product, why change the formula? Me, im happy with what destiny was, because i wasnt expecting the next coming of jesus christ. I informed myself about the game with all i could find before release and you know the one thing that made me buy this? A shooter with raids. Its a stupid reason to buy a game but on that front the game delivered for me. I never expected a 40 hour campaing, i expected a fun shooter to play with friends, a different shooter. At this point anyone who is still giving bungie money doesnt really have a right to complain. When the next dlc hits expect more of the same. If you like what you played so far, keep buying by all means, i know i will. Sure the game is kinda dead right now but if the next dlc is just as big as ttk, isnt it worth it? We werent supposed to see the road map for year one, and in year 2 we felt helpless because we didnt know. But until activision gave the ok bungie was bound to stay shut. If gamers want change, they have to make it happen by not supporting the companies they want to change. Edit: i've been around online gaming to tell you at least this: bungie is actually pretty open. They keep us way more updated than most companies do. Ive seen companies that keep their player base in the dark. Year 2 has been lackluster and even bungie knows it. Dropping the ceo and appointing someone else to his status is already a step into changing the situation. The official statement is that he "stepped down" but come on we all know what that really means... I do believe destiny 2 will be a far better product but until then i think destiny 1 was still worth it. The community that sprung from this game is the best ive ever seen in any game i played. We are loving this game in a way people used to love wow back then and i think bungie did something right for the game to be so successful. Just the fact that im here posting on these forums is a statement to a job well done in my mind. You got me bungie... XD

No communication with the community hmmm okay yeah because a lot give us updates on stuff theyre doing and their plans. And every company implements stuff the community wants. Bungie nerfs all this stuff because the community wants it, even though some of think its stupid, a large portion of the community wanted sunbreaker nerf, and the pulse rifle nerf, and hand cannon nerf, and the suros regime nerf last year. EA has done a damn good job over the years. It's spread over various games so you might not notice as much but they also did one thing that's much, much worse. They destroyed Bullfrog ... and some less developers .... and castrated BioWare to the point that the company now is just another EA office with no one left working for them that made some of the games we know and love like KOTOR and Jade Empire. Lied about the game .... anyone remember the lead up to the ending of one of BioWares more famous games? One Casey Hudson and his exact words "there will be no colour coded ending" .... everyone remembers the colour coded ending. Shoddy DLC practices, EA has you covered. I just want to point out that Bungie was one of the first companies to release DLC. It's partly their fault that we get screwed over on that front .... and the numpty's that bought it. They paved the way and you buggers ate it up. Look what you created, I hope you are proud. Basically all companies want one thing, your money. Make no mistake, even CDPR (one of my favourite developers) still wants your money. Some go about it in better ways than others but the end game is still the same. At the end of the day, games development is a business. The idea of business is to create profit to keep that business going. Nobody works for free (except volunteers and they are crazy people). When people say "Bungie didn't used to be like this" they are wrong. As I said, one of the first to bring DLC to the masses. They wanted your money they just went about it in a better way. They have no need for pretense here. Millions of people bought and play Destiny. For all the bluster on the forums and talk about "Bungie never being like this" you still play the game. You play and hand over money whenever they ask for it. Complaining about it is like pissing into the wind, it just blows away because you open your wallet on demand and hand over money. I know someone will come back with the "but you haven't played since last year, you have no opinion", i'm still a gamer and I still like to keep up on what's going on. I don't need to play to know what goes on outside of the game. Granted I don't own the DLC but i'm one of "those people", I don't agree with DLC so never buy it, it's not just Destiny it's all games. The only DLC I own are from Ultimate Editions and GOTY editions I find cheap on Amazon.
