Oh, memories. 2004... People hated Halo 2, and hated Bungie for being corrupt and making it suck. They claimed Bungie didn't care, and that they never listened to their fans (despite the fact that no matter how often a handful of Bungie members would comment during the brief times they had available in a community of 600,000+, they would never be able to appear to post a lot). Halo2sucks.com became a popular website to whine about this. And yet, when Halo 3 came out, it all changed. Halo 2 became Bungie's best game. Halo 3 was terrible. Bungie "changed," and no longer cared about their community. Rinse and repeat. I've been watching kids make these complaints longer than some have been alive. The cycle remains unbroken.

I'd say a lot of people care. Bungie is pretty much a laughing stock right now. Most of the main community representatives(as in well known youtubers/twitch streamers/pvp gods/clan leaders/podcast hosts/etc) are all pointing at Bungie's lack of proper communication, and their lack of respect for their players. Bungie has outright lied to us or deceived us multiple times, including the matchmaking garbage, IB drop rates, weapon balances, year one exotics going into year two, and much more. Many people have flat out left Destiny because of the lack of a road map, making the grind to 320 seem horribly pointless. Many pvp players left due to the matchmaking changes that were kept from the community even after people started suspecting it. Doesn't mean any of us hate the game. If we hated it, we'd never have gotten TTK. We're just sad that Bungie has let us down time and time again, when all they need to do is communicate more, and be honest with us. There's nothing wrong, really, with a lot of what they've done, by itself. It's the lack of clarification to the players beforehand, and the deceit, that people take issue with.

The fact that them screwing over Marty being ignored by the fanbase is unsettling. O'Donnall's music was so impactful ever since Halo. For him to be choked out because he wanted artistic freedom is a huge blow to whatever integrity Bungie had.
