Recent studies have shown that poor diets and lack of proper nutrition is linked to serious diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and cancer. There are societies of hunter gatherers in Asia and Africa who don't have access to processed foods. Diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and cancer are simply non existent among them.
We have enough knowledge and research to know that a high amount of omega-6 polyunsaturated fat and a low amount of omega-3 polyunsaturated fat will significantly increase your chances of getting these diseases. And the problem with the typical western diet is exactly this. Mostly all the foods in it are composed of omega-6 and absolutely no omega-3. Basically all grain products will have omega-6 in them. Even whole wheat bread that is advertised as healthy. Its not. Grain products are processed foods. They're not real foods.
Its all about your ratio of omega-6 to omega-3. A healthy ratio is anywhere between 1:1 - 4:1 (4 being omega-6). The average western diet is estimated to have a ratio of 10:1, some people are as high as 30:1.
Its not bread thats the culprit though, its the vegetable oils that all the junk foods are processed with. Soybean, sunflower, corn oils, and many others are extremely high in omega-6 and that's what's killing us. Do yourself a favour: only cook with flaxseed, coconut, or olive oil, and obviously stop eating processed foods.
Useful omega-3's come from fish, fish oils, and grass fed farm meat products. These are the only useful sources. There are other sources, but the omega-3 from those are in the form of ALA, which the human body can't use properly. It tries to convert it to useful omega-3 (EPA and DHA) but the conversion process is inefficient. Some fad diets websites will try to tell you different, that foods like walnuts or hemp seeds are high in omega-3, but they don't tell you its in the form of ALA that can't even be used.
If you don't like fish, get this brand of fish oil supplements called Progressive. They have a chocolate flavour and actually doesn't taste that bad. I drink a teaspoon every day. And being in a healthy ratio also helps for muscle gains, so that's another plus.
Tl;dr
If you don't want cancer stop eating junk foods. Only cook with flaxseed, coconut, or olive oil. Eat yo fish.
Edit: To this M1Silencer guy: babies eat food too. They need nutrition. Baby food is all processed nowadays. Their bodies are still in development and need proper nutrition to develop properly. They are extremely vulnerable to developing disease because they are still in development. Is that really hard to understand?
Edit 2: Wow guys I wasn't aware that shedding some insight on common foods people eat every day made me such a horrible person. Sorry for me giving you nutrition tips. I can't believe so many of you choose to attack me instead of even acknowledging what I have to say, smh

14 답변Cancer can be caused even without eating junk food. It's the abnormal reproduction of cells. It's not the patient's fault that they have cancer.

5 답변I called bullshit after "grass-fed farm meat products." Grass fed offers nothing different than regular meat. "Organic" food is the same way.

1 답변No point in posting here. Anything slightly positive or to benefit another will be branded as you being a piece of shit. Thank you though but i already take Omega-3 supplements and eat a decent amount of fish. Mainly because it provides various benefits for the heart. But I didn't know about the Omega-6 problem so this was still informative nonetheless. Good Job!

Step two: spew enough stuff with large, scientific sounding words that people think you know what you're talking about Step three: advise they not do what the medical professionals suggest and follow your ideas Step four: promote your own brand of dietary supplement (bonus points if you actually sell it) and claim that it cures (insert disease here) and that it promotes (insert totally unrelated beneficial body function here) Step five: deny all evidence that disproves you. 2 답변작성자: SpacialSnowflake 2/19/2016 5:44:33 AMCancer is in my family so still have a chance to get it no matter what. I just hope for a cure. Also people will get cancer no matter what they eat, diet just helps. Anyway I am going to keep eating like shit because A. I am lazy and B. Although unlikly I could develop a non-deadly mutation that allows me to deal with a crap diet. (Yeah right).
