Trials Lighthouse Sherpas, Good or Bad?
Alright guys and girls, here is the deal, I have been posting of a few Trials Flawless Sherpa posts. I have a pretty high KD, a good medal score, and have been flawless almost 50 times. This attracted lots of people to reply to me.
I told them to all PM me and we could work out details, but after awhile I started getting hate messages from either "Elitists" or people who have tried and failed many times at Flawless. The messages said things like
"You're a scrub for doing carries, everyone needs to earn the Lighthouse with people on skill levels as themselves. If they have a 0.6, they play with maybe 0.8s and 0.7s. Stop doing carries, it's ruining trials"
Personally I think that everyone should have the chance to see the light of mercury at least once, no matter the skill level of the player.
What do you guys think of trials carries?

EDIT - If anyone wants to see mercury send GraffitiDrifter a friend request on Xbox One. I have about 50 lighthouse visits.

1 답변"I have a KDR of .7 after weeks of playing Crucible" and "I'm going to the lighthouse" are two phrases that can't be said by the same person. I am the former. Do I want to go to the lighthouse? Yes. Do I want to go flawless? Yes Do I care if I get carried? No. Do I think it's shameful for me to use the flawless emblem? Kinda. But does it really matter? Hell no. It's a team-based activity. I earned it because my team was successful. Sure, I didn't earn it as an individual, and people will look down on me, but that doesn't matter. It's an experience that I want, and I'm sure that many feel the same way.

6 답변Tbh I don't really mind not going to the lighthouse. I just like trying to get some of the armour and doing the bounties. I've never been able to find a team that wants to do it every week. If I did then I'd probley try.

I don't see it as a bad thing. But it is embarrassing/annoying when my team gets its ass handed to us because of one reaaaaally good person on the opposing team. I might have to take you up on your offer one of these weekends..I'm the most average Trials player ever. 1.0 kd, 50% w/l, 4x flawless. I can't seem to ever get to the lighthouse without getting lucky or being carried lol.

I think it's great that there are people out there willing to help get people to the lighthouse, in the same way that there are good people out there willing to help get others through the hard raid. Just delete any nasty messages.

2 답변I think trials would overall be better if it just locked out or put people in another bracket once they won for the week. So it stayed more competitive for everyone.

With the SBMM still part of the match making, sorry to say that it probably is messing it up for others that also have low kd. On the other hand, I doubt low kd people are just going together. I say this having brought a friend that had a low kd (honestly they suck at pvp and aren't afraid to say it). My brother and I both had the easiest time ever as it seemed we did get easier matches with someone less skilled than us (until round 8... Darn) . Could have been a fluke, but it's noticeably easier every time we're with that person. Have you played with 3 people All your skill level? Do the matches seem harder? matched better? I think in the end (after round 7) it won't make a difference. The first few matches it does. I think sherpa's are fine as long as they aren't requiring payment or subscriptions to twitch, YouTube, etc.

2 답변People cry about things being pay to win when you can level a character and subclass butttttt isn't paying someone 100 dollars to carry you flawless pay to win? Or donating money to get things to gamble with for a chance to be carried?

4 답변I think that once you've been to the lighthouse you shouldn't be able to play trials anymore that week. That might actually give others a chance at it. Keep all the sweaties out once they been there.

its a nice gesture, but i wouldn't ever do it. Trials is a skill based event. You should gt through it on your own. I'd want to anyways. It sounds like a Pay-to-Win scenario, just it's free. Wheres the joy in getting the great rewards handed to you?

2 답변Personally speaking, I wouldn't inflict myself upon anyone to be carried. There are limits to carrying and I believe that even the 1st and 2nd ranked PvP players in Destiny couldn't carry someone as hopeless as me... But.. Good for you! Carry to your hearts content!

2 답변There honestly is no rational reason someone should be against helping others. Some people just aren't great I PvP and some players are older so they don't have the coordination and reflexes that a younger person may have for an fps. I think charging for flawless is a complete joke and pathetic but some people do it, that's the only thing I don't like. It's always nice to help people in this game

2 답변Wow sorry to hear about all the bad responses you have received. Like I replied on your post last night I do think what your doing is a very good thing. Running with better caliber players should ultimately teach that person better ideas on how to approach things ie load out, what to work on and even tactics on maps. End of the day though there is always going to be complainers

1 답변The term "carry" is incorrect. When someone offers to "carry" you to the lighthouse, they will stick with you until you make it(or it just took to long, no one can stay online forever) and offer their PvP skills to help you, instead of having someone who sucks at PvP from lfg. To make it to the lighthouse, it's a team effort. If you run into the enemy repeatedly and die you won't make to the lighthouse carried or not. When your carried though, usually whoever is carrying you will offer tips to help you through as well as there own skill. This means that even if your trip to the lighthouse is a carry, you still deserve it.
