Edit: Going to keep the OP below, because it's still a viable option for not penalizing people for getting dumped in a match in-progress when everyone on the other team already have supers and heavy ammo.
The discussion led me to this idea though. Bungie have made it crystal clear that they will not penalize quitters with any sort of temporary queue lockout and as nice as it would be to buff players getting thrown in somehow, I don't see them doing that either.
So what's the answer?
Well why not give non quitters priority on joining fresh matches and pull from quitters to fill in-progress matches first?
It's so -blam!-ing simple and I don't see how it could be very hard to implement. Obviously with the system trying to piece together various size fireteams and solo players, non-quitters might still be put into an already started match now and then, but it would beat the hell out of what we have.
I'd set it up where someone who's quit out that day gets searched to fill an in-progress match first. If they're queued for longer than 1.5 minutes, it searches first available.
Non-quitters the exact opposite. Searches fresh matches first and if after 1.5 minutes there's no group, it switches to first available.
I would have it reset at the end of the day and clean slate quitters the next day.
What do you all think of that solution?
-Original Post Below-
Pretty sure we're all pretty sick of not only joining down 5k constantly, but all the enemies have supers and heavies and there's no way to get anything going.
Easy solution would be to at least fill super bars halfway for people who get dropped in past the 3 minute mark.

4 답변작성자: Kweh 2/2/2016 8:03:49 PMEh. If you want this sort of competitive aspect, you need to play something else really. Like Counter Strike or Halo. They punish people. How can you enforce something like this when the company itself can't even reinforce their connection protocols. Lousy matchmaking, no servers, now punishments? Come on lol. I play a game to have fun. Not be parented by some pvp tryhard needing to have a decent match to satisfy his own personal agendas. Who is anyone to tell me whhat i can and can't do. At least other games are straight up and tell you they ban, and don't play if you don't like it. Which I have the upmost respect for. They made a rule and established it from the get go. If I wanted that, I would play games that bans people for this. DotA, CS, and the like.

It's a sound plan, but the amount of programming and tweaking to the system would probably be viewed by Bungie as too much. Tweaking with code is risky so I imagine that nothing will ever get done about it. Especially since they are putting all their efforts into Destinys sequel and have no source of income from new content at the moment.

1 답변I think the easier solution is to add a boon like the vanguard strike boon. This way I have a reason to play past five losses. And let's be honest, we need a boost to legendary drops in iron banner.

12 답변Waste of time. People quitting is not a "problem" because true problems are aspects that result in a negative. People leaving a crucible match probably either had to go so you can't force them to keep console on, have bad lag, are not doing well etc. All these scenarios it is more logical to support them leaving. Punishing them only serves to thin the population more and give you less people to find in matchmaking. Only positives result in someone leaving: 1. You get a better replacement 2. You lose the match faster getting to your potential reward faster and next match faster. Forcing player that is having whatever problem to stay or punishing them creates more negativity to a already broken game. No one wants to sit in a match forced to play in a bad situation if they have to. I'm all about doing my best but if there are some obvious issues I am saving my time.

I think punishing quitters is missing the mark. Find out why people quit and address the issue with the quitters. There's a reason people quit!!!!! And if it's happening en masse, like this last IB, then there's a reason!!!!!! First, find out what the problem is... Are we talking about regular Crucible or just IB? Are we talking about previous to the Matchmaking updates or after? Are we talking about Control IB or is it just RIFT IB? Are we talking about strikes (oh, that's pve, which apparently no one cares about anymore). What is the real issue with quitters? For me, it all happened this last IB. I quit matches on a regular basis. Why, because time is valuable to me and I don't like wasting time. Also, I like to be rewarded for effort I put into a game. Previous IB I didn't quit games because I rarely had 5 medallions. So, why this go around did I find myself with 5 medallions (8 losses) right off the bat? I don't know, it's not that simple since there were several new things at play (namely, new IB game-type, and more competitive matchmaking)... Did those things have undesirable results???? YES, I think they did!!!! So why punish players for reacting (in massive numbers I might add) instead of trying to figure out what they did wrong and fix it. Punishment is the 'go-to' answer when people don't know how or don't want to fix something right.

4 답변OK... we don't want quitters. Let's pass a law banning the following: * Important phone calls. * Doorbells. * Oven timers going off. * Power outages. * Connection failures. * Emergencies. * Sudden illnesses. * Spouses who need our attention. * Kids who need our attention. * Parents who want us to do something and won't take "no" for an answer because they're not gamers. * Kids or pets who knock the power cord out of your Playstation. * AS gamers who are getting so frustrated at repeatedly losing that they have to quit or risk a major meltdown (I'm a special-ed school bus driver; I know the type).

작성자: BlaChek_ 2/2/2016 10:20:57 PMI used to be the guy who would stick out the match I'm thrown into when we are down by 6k. The problem is after the match it breaks up the lobby anyways - then throws you back into another mid match. So I'd be for some incentive to stay in matches I'm thrown into

8 답변Crying over quitting in a video game. I am an adult and if I buy a game and choose to quit a match that is my God damn right. Who really feels like a quitter in life by quitting video game matches? Not this guy, that's for sure.

9 답변Another baby whining about people quitting in a video game. Go play Halo if you want quit bans that badly.

9 답변No matter what they do it would involve some form of coding. So i don't expect any update in dealing with quitters in Destiny 1. But i do like the idea of throwing quitters into matches in progress. For every time you quit a match you get thrown into one in progress. If you never quit you never get thrown into a match already in progress. Sounds fair to me.

1 답변작성자: The 7th fall 2/2/2016 7:12:09 PMIf you want quitters to stop quitting get the Devs at Bungie to provide incentive to not quit. Also take into account that PvP is laggy and bugged as hell that a good amount of quitters are people that get disconnected too. Also take these suggestions into account as well: -Bungie needs to reverse this 'skill based matchmaking' to connection/regional based -Make legendary loot drop like candy back in House of Wolves -The light level of the loot needs to be really close or above your own light level -Being in the top 1-3 of your team list(regardless of loss/win) should grant you good chances for legendary gear -Getting overall best even while on the losing team should grant you high chances for legendary loot That's just some suggestions that would make people quit less.

1 답변I like this idea but the last day I played ib I think was Sunday I would go into a match and not be completely there I'd just move my character around so I wouldn't get kicked to orbit while I red a book. I did this because I hated rift and wanted to try for a weapon drop my apologies to the teams I was on my only excuse is I hate playing rift. However I liked it when I would get put into a match that is half over which meant less time to wait for the end of match drop. Now I have never been a douche like this before and did not like getting put into a losing match. Rift brought out the douchebag in me letting the team down so when I would be put into a losing match that is half over I was actually happy. I like the idea that you brought forward and think that for leaving a match because you are losing should have some sort of down side to it.

I don't know if this would solve it or not, but if there were clear rounds then everyone could reset back to a level playing field and you could grant rewards/rep for each round won. So let's say you join into a game that is half over, on the losing side for that round you only had to wait for < 5 minutes to the next round to start on the same map without reloading back to orbit or anything like in trials. It would have different drawbacks too, like no more epic, winner-takes-all come backs in the last 30 seconds after being behind for 15 min.

6 답변작성자: GooglyEyedDog 2/2/2016 8:23:53 AMJust a few suggestions :- 1) Award someone joining a team, that goes on to lose, the rep value of the medallion rather than the medallion itself. That would mitigate players annoyance at joining an ongoing game to a degree 2) Remove medallions altogether and just award rep to the losing side of say 50% of that given to the winners. That would encourage players not to leave just because their team is losing and it would have the bonus of making the current sweaty games less sweaty 3) Have ranked and casual playlists Edited to add that Bungie with their present penchant for burying their collective heads in the sand with regard to problems will do nothing.
