Do what you want with this info. I blurred out the username and avatar leaving only the Ninja badge so nobody can say this is "name shaming". My only question is this: if Bungie allows moderators and Ninjas to ban based off opinion alone, why isn't there an appeals process? Why can't we challenge a ban that's obviously based on opinion. Hell, why do we have the CoC at all if it's completely up for interpretation and you could be banned under the "Play Nice" clause for saying "Hi" if a ninja wants to? It makes no sense to have a set of rules if the moderators who are supposed to enforce said rules can just ban anyone they feel like banning without an actual rule violation. They can simply do like in the screenshot above and say "My opinion is above the rules and I ban as I please". Sadly most of you probably won't see this, because it will be taken down and me banned for questioning them. --------------------------------------------------------------------- There's a common misconception going around that should be cleared up. The OP of the post this screenshot was taken from wasn't planning a #Destiny raid. He, along with several other users, were seeing how many people would even be interested in participating in one and if planning one would even be worth the time and effort. You can't punish someone for something they haven't done yet, let alone something they haven't even planned. ———————————————————————— A lot of good points about the flaws of the moderation system being made. The most common one is they need to change the ban notification itself. As it stands now, you get the same notification for a ban as you do for a warning. It gives no indication of which it is, it gives in information on why you got the warning/ban, and if its a ban, you don't get any info on how long the ban will be. Another point is that the CoC isn't fully listed for the users. How the -blam!- do you expect us to fully follow a set of rules when the only people who ever actually see the full list of rules are mods? ———————————————————————— Lmao at everyone saying I got Recon demoted.
