This is what's been needed. An actual response to an actual complaint of many players. A promised remedy. Well done, taking some action here guys. This might be a first step to regaining some loyalty and respect of your players. I hate Rift, but maybe I will play some Iron Banner if this is the case. Hats off to you fellows. Keep it up.

작성자: CynicalSapper 1/27/2016 1:54:31 PMSo only fixing matchmaking for a iron banner that is rift which most people hate is a big step? The data will reveal nothing because most people won't play rift. Change the matchmaking for everything and you'll get real data.

9 답변Are you kidding me? The update means NOTHING. No specifics. More BS spinning instead of being plain. No addressing all the other thing that are screwed up in Destiny. And this new match making is just experimental and Bungie still may decide to keep the existing, crappy system. Don't give them ANY slack. They lie and deceive and have to win our trust back and prove themselves.

2 답변Correct me if I'm wrong. This "update" that was mentioned, are they not simply switching back to the matchmaking system they had previously? So what exactly have they accomplished? Fixing something that they messed up to begin with? Was this recent post supposed to be Deej big "update" post BTW? If so it's simply a waste and will not hold over a majority of people except pvp diehards. This shit gets boring.

I agree it's a good step, but it is not enough of a distraction to the more pressing problems with this game. Now if Bungie actually address the dozens of other problems with Destiny, they'd at least be taking 5 steps forward in the right direction instead of 10 steps backwards which they have been doing for over a year now.

1 답변작성자: Th3GrandAdmiral 1/26/2016 4:03:09 PMGuys, just woke up to a massive amount of alerts on my phone. Please understand, I'm not letting Bungie off for all the blunders they've made since TTK dropped. BUT. They did make a change the community asked for. While a small step, this is a step in the right direction. I think we need to show positivity and encourage them to continue this and make it an ongoing thing. If they get a bunch of responses consisting of "Hey, this was a good move, do it again" instead of the normal posts (not gonna lie, I've made my share of these) then maybe they'll get it through their skulls what they're supposed to do. The fact that old Raids and PoE and Strikes are left behind is a load of shit, yeah. I miss the Gjallahorn and the Ice Breaker and Patience and Time just as much as the next dude. That's why I said this "Might be the first step" rather than "everything is fixed now, best game, 10/10." I just want them to continue this.

You can't give kudos to someone who took months just to communicate, when that's part of his job. Plus, that still doesn't fix anything. We're going to get some diplomatic statement which will be vague about when anything is getting fixed. Personally, I don't need the communication. I just want it fixed. Rather, I just want them to undo all the things they've been doing and update the old strikes/raids/gear.

Positive reinforcement is important, I agree. "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar." But after countless lies, mountains of bullshit, and more fancy tales than you can shake a stick at, the "positive" needs to be tempered somewhat. Bungie needs to understand that this is a step in the right direction, and that we are grateful for what appears to be a good omen. But Bungie also needs to understand that this does NOT repair their relationship with the community. It is merely the beginning of a long road out of that massive pit they dug for themselves. If they continue to communicate to us properly, they have a chance to regain our respect - someday. But that day has not come yet.

I'm not ready to go high fiving Deej for the update, but I'm also not going to scold him either. This needs to become a regular occurrence before there's anything to celebrate. The matchmaking is only for iron banner. Pretty disappointed this big change is only for a week. Then it'll be months before we see any follow up

Whoever is giving the op a hard time, let off. It is specific, they told us that iron banner will be more connection based starting on Wednesday, which is smarter because now they can collect two sets of data to further evaluate it. While they did -blam!- us over during their little break, they finally got off their asses with this one. As far as the valentines update goes, -blam!- that, that was shit.
