I was there when there was at least 5 guardians patrolling skywatch for the loot cave

I was there for the loot cave, Being forever 29, when Vex Slaughtered and melted everything that moved in PvP. When Crota would chase the fire team into the shard room pointing his skeletal finger at everyone and sword slamming the team into oblivion.

I was there when Crota slammed his sword and killed my whole fireteam instantly, and then proceeded to jump up and down repeatedly. I was on PS3 at the time, so I couldn't record :(

I was there. With no friends. I think I should go cry now.

I was there for "we've awoken the hive!" Over and over and over. Farming for engrams.

I was there when ascendent shards/energies were blue items

By now there have been so many of these threads that a year 2 Christmas noob will know what happened in year 1 :P

I farmed the loot cave. I farmed Skywatch for keys. I pushed Templar off 3 times a week for a chance at Fatebringer. I opened the Gorgon chest 3 times a week for a chance at exotics. I let thrall kill me over and over upon spawning into Crota's End until I saw that light above the first door. I stacked public event packages at my postmaster before any major year 1 DLC knowing it would give me free marks and rep. I stood atop that high right pillar so I could snipe every oracle except the middle left one with my Icebreaker 3 times a week. I always jumped down for the Nexus, but head glitched behind a small barrier to avoid being damaged. I always juggled Phogoth with my Black Hammer until he was dead. I hid below the platform on Winter's Run. I was in groups that pulled the cable on Crota. I jump swung across the bridge and let my teammates snipe ogres. I was a furious blink shotgunner with Found Verdict. I was a Praedyths Revenge crucible sniper. I got to the lighthouse using Thorn, Last Word, Felwinters Lie, and Radegasts Fury. I struggled to kill the Praetorian in the portal because his health would keep replenishing. I remember Bastion. I remember activating Arc Blade and hearing the forums rage for days. I remember circular reputation bars. I remember 100 rep bounties. I ran in circles on Mars to farm relic iron, and got pissed for when someone wasn't going counter clockwise. I remember my first Gjallarhorn and the excitement that came with it. And most of all, I remember having fun playing this game.

I was there when there was an actual chance of getting an exotic without using three of coins. I got hard light.

The cave itself is tiny in size, yet there is an abundance of bullet fodder. Traveling takes some time and the journey is perilous. Captains, Vandals, a wizard, knight and Thralls that could very well number into the 1000s stand in your way; yet it is worth the trek. Also finally realizing that you can run past all of them makes it far easier. Being the first to arrive. Will others come? Perhaps. Only time will tell. Fellow guardians finally begin to show. 1, then 2,3,4, and finally the fifth. You all take your place, eyes fixated down the sights at a black hole that houses an unknown amount of evil. They appear. Guardians gunning them down before they can even make an exit. It is a tight and small entrance and bottlenecks them. It will be their undoing. After an hour or two, the cave glistening with the soft glow of green and blue lights. All those engrams. Yet in the darkness three yellowish eyes appear. They are coming! Bullets find there marks at the felling of the enemy. All of the sudden as if magic, a new color orb appears, as if out of thin air. It is brighter and some how more radiant than the others, a deep purple that some how glows with an iridescent intensity. Running with a burning desire to get to that cave so as not to lose sight of it. To release it from that dark prison. Deleting other filthy greens or blues to make room. [i]A Legendary Helmet Engram[/i] it says. What could it be hiding? Going to orbit and to the tower as quickly as possible, hoping to get the best luck. Walking to Rahool; him smiling, and kindly speaking, "What do you have for me today guardian?" "Ohh, do I have something for you! Just wait 'til you see this!" "Ohh, this looks interesting!" He replies. I hand it over. Hands shaking. What could it be. A new legendary helm. Maybe it'll be mask of the third man or even Achlyophage Symbiote. Yea that's what it'll be I can feel it. "Mhmm..." Master Rahool says with intrigue. He found it I knew it. I knew it! What a guy what a pal. I'm going to buy him a drink after this. He will be my first born son's godpare.... "Here you go." Was right there with you. We also shot the Arkon Priest from beneath the upper deck. We did the heavy ammo glitch in Crota's throne room in defiance of Xur's refusal to sell it.
