Im not here to cry OP or Nerf Plz but i just think it's kind of saddening to see nearly half of all players use these three guns (MIDA, TLW, 1KYS)
you would like to think there would be a large number of viable options that arent these 3. I understand the thousand yard is the only realistic option for rez sniping but still.
Thoughts?
EDIT:
Just went flawless and ran into 2 team of MIDA/1KDS only and 2 teams of TLW/1KYS only.
Shoutout to the team we ran into that was using fusion rifles and the guy with the First Curse.

1 답변작성자: Raza582 1/5/2016 8:56:40 PMThe reason being is because people will just go for what kills the fastest, which is why shotguns dominated pvp for the whole of year 1. Another thing to add to it as well is what Bungie call a weapons balance is just a reverse of the numbers, first: Auto Rifles, dominated early pvp, Pulse's were non-existent and so were Scouts, Hand Cannons were slightly viable, then the Auto Rifle nerf came, Hand Cannons were buffed and the roles switched from dominant to dominated. Next Pulse's were buffed and Hand Cannons were nerfed, Role switched again, now Pulse's got nerfed Hand Cannons got a buff and Auto Rifles got a 0.04% buff ... so now Hand Cannons dominate. The only reason MIDA is so popular right now is because its just a great exotic gun, extremely balanced and a good all round exotic. What bungie calls a weapons balance is a simply a reverse of 1 of the 4 primaries, that switch from dominant to dominated, so there will always be a meta and people will always use only the hand full of guns out of that category that have the fastest time to kill. Its seriously sad as SO many weapons are left out, removing variety from the game, it won't be all that healthy to have EVERY weapon viable but it would be nice to have more than what Bungie are making the meta, its always only 1-5 guns that are viable, use anything else and unless your seriously skilled your going to be putting yourself at a disadvantage.

This post is worded wrong. What is ridiculas is not that these guns are used too much it is that other guns are not used enough. The reason mida is so overused right now is because every other gun has been nerfed since destiny launched. Same applies to snipers, they are the only special weapons that have not been nerfed. Coincidence? I think not. The last word is an exception that has always been good and always should be(I personally think it is fine btw). Sorry w for wall of text and thanks for reading this far.

3 답변You are jumping to conclusions that are not supported by anything. Just because only 3 weapons are being used doesn't mean nothing else isn't viable. All of the exotic autorifles (barring necro since it doesn't have a year 2 version) are plenty viable. same with the pulses and scouts. Hell even first curse is actually good now. Trials and iron banner have level advantages enabled. and implore you to use the best equipment you have. So of course there will be a trend in what is used. Some things are just better then others. that doesn't mean there is an issue. Also that's just straight shit. erine RR4, still piercer are both legendary snipers that can do the exact same thing 1k stare can do. And so can black spindle which isn't even terrible in pvp. it just uses an exotic slot and most people prefer to use an exotic primary. (even though in this day and age there are tons of viable legendary primaries.) 1k stare is popular because it was easy to obtain. that's literally it. it's got nothing over the other options available.

Everyone else is using them, so if have high aspirations you don't want your opponents to have that kind of advantage. Other people don't mind beating you with cheap shit, so -blam!- their complaints. I agree it's depressing. I used to be one of those guys that would try to use unfashionable weapons, after a while I realized that it isn't my responsability to provide varaity for everyones else. It also lets lazy devs try to point out that "there is nothing wrong with weapon balance". There will always be 2 or 3 weapons that stand above the rest in this game. There is no point in deluding ourselves. :(

2 답변If everyone is using the same weapons then it is a balanced even match about skill. I really suck at all those weapons so I would have to say they are more skilled at trials than I am. Trials is basically snipe kill, rush in and cover the orb, let them get the revive and snipe him agian. Rinse and repeat till your k/do is good or you get bored. That is what happens to me anyways but like I said, I suck at it. I like the bounties though.

These three weapons are the most suitable to the unique playstyle of a Trials match. It does suck that there aren't more viable weapons, but most players aren't going to intentionally use what they consider to be sub-optimal gear in the face of elimination mode PvP.

1 답변Well according to the site they only accounted for 24% of the kills in IB. Pretty interesting how preferences changes based on game type.

1 답변So many people say sidearm and fusion are good but if they're even remotely good at all shouldn't there b at least one in the top ten or 15. Not even 1 kill out of 100 is from sidearm or fusion.

6 답변Xur sold MIDA recently, and scout rifles are in a very good place atm. 1K stare is used because it is one of two 31 impact snipers in the game and you get a very good one early on via quests. No reason not to make this your go to sniper. TLW has always been amazing... with so many people still trying to get in shotgun range TLW has plenty of peeps to dominate.

1 답변I did fine using answering chord and suros regime, both of which aren't on there but I never felt at a disadvantage. People just out gunned me sometimes.
