Im not here to cry OP or Nerf Plz but i just think it's kind of saddening to see nearly half of all players use these three guns (MIDA, TLW, 1KYS)
you would like to think there would be a large number of viable options that arent these 3. I understand the thousand yard is the only realistic option for rez sniping but still.
Thoughts?
EDIT:
Just went flawless and ran into 2 team of MIDA/1KDS only and 2 teams of TLW/1KYS only.
Shoutout to the team we ran into that was using fusion rifles and the guy with the First Curse.

The only thing that bothers me is that I love the TLW. I never stopped using it. Even finished the Jolly Holiday quest in 2 matches when everyone complained about how bad it was. Yet, it's the meta now, so I'm supposed to stop using it? Nope, not happening.

3 답변작성자: SIRxTOKExALOT 1/5/2016 5:44:53 PMI honestly dont understand it. I am not good with any of the "meta weapons". I almost always use my lyudmila-d with telesto in Trials.. finished top 3 (if not 1st) all week in IB. but thats what fits my play style

1 답변Allright... 22% use 1KYS? I mean i use it and you know what... I rarely encounter somebody using it, even snipers aren't people i meet often. I mostly play against conspiracy and invective. I just feel like better players use 1KYS (flame incoming) and i would say that most kills don't mean most people use it. Also on many maps u kill or at least finish people with primaries

Mida is hot right now. It'll change before long. TLW is and always has been, an extremely strong weapon in small game types. As for 1000yd, it's simple: everyone gets one and it can res snipe. That's it. If there were more options, you'd see those.

I still use hawksaw or no time to explain it performs pretty well pulse rifles are still a viable option just don't last word get too close and I usually rush mida users to shut them down there's a counter to everything and for snipers just don't stand in those long hallways where you know snipers will be in never run sniper in trials and I do just fine did my first trials last week and I was doing fairly decent

4 답변Mida - move faster while aiming and third eye, while dealing out good damage and stability 1kys - Only legendary that can 1 shot res snipe TLW - one of the fastest time to kill with no need to look down scope ... Hence why 90% of trials is 1kys+TLW and hence why I only do bounties

7 답변It's literally just the players. No other reason, just them. There are so many viable loadouts and weapons now and people only use a couple because they assume something is good or bad without testing, and because no one likes to switch up load outs and take advantage of the wide variety of balanced weapon we have. Seriously. Crucible is actually balanced, the community just refuses to believe it and focuses on a few guns that are overused, and assume these guns are op because they are overused. Thank you, Bungie, for pretty much balancing all primaries with 2.1 and for making such a fun pvp experience (except IB, which is just awful for some reason).

3 답변You forgot to add conspiracy theory - D(ouche bag). But atleast there are different types, ones a hand cannon, ones a scout. Those two guns are both amazing in different situations. Tlw is amazing in close quarters like its supposed to be, mida is just flat out good but close range tlw will beat it. And if there were more variety to choose between snipers that could rez snipe, im sure you would see others. And ive also seen a lot of conspiracy theory as well. At least its not like pre nerf tlw and thorn where there was no point in sniping or using a scout because pre nerf they could cross map you no problem.

It's simple, people will use the most viable weapons they have access to in order to keep up. Every time a weapon gets nerfed, the list of viable weapons becomes smaller. So when weapon A gets nerfed, weapon B becomes the next viable weapon. When weapon B gets nerfed, weapon C is next on the list. And so on. For example, MIDA has always been a good weapon. It just never got the attention that Vex or Suros Regime had. Back in the vanilla days, people would use MIDA to compete with Suros. Now the day has finally come that MIDA is now at the top of the list.

3 답변Even though there is lack of variety, which can suck, there is some positive. Playing with 3-4 guns allows for skill to be rewarded more than who is using the best weapon. Like in halo, a game that rewards skill with weapons, there are only a couple of guns that are used. This brings me to an interesting point I heard recently on IGN's fire team chat, that the thorn/last word meta was the most balanced because it came down to who was the better shot. I thought this was incredibly interesting and it honestly changed my view on that meta

i had never seen so many people use the mida as i do in year 2, its kind of sad that bungie couldn't make a year 2 exotic that was more efficient in pvp than a year one weapon. tlw is year one as well (although designed specifically for pvp so it makes a little more sense). as far as 1kys- it's given out by a quest making it a great option, but most people can't use a sniper anyways so it's no big deal in the end. I wish there was more variety for sure, but when a meta is powerful and incredibly limiting the majority of the player base will follow because it gives them a chance to be a good player. I used to run tlw back when hand cannons were the only choice and was a monster with it but since then i have found many other viable options for loadouts which rip apart even these three most used weapons. I've given up on the meta and choose to mess around as much as i can these days using anything i feel like using while still dominating most matches.

3 답변You know what's completely hilarious... When I played IB this weekend ALL of those weapons listed that are Top 10 for each type (primary, special, heavy), was all I saw. It's like everyone checked out those weapons and if they had them they equipped them. I never got killed by a Binary Dawn (trials shotgun) though. It was always an invective, party crasher, or conspiracy theory. And never saw a Black Spindle either!
