Waiting around in crouched mode aimed down a snipe lane or high traffic area for someone to walk by isn't sniping.
Running around with a snipe out challenging primaries with quickscopes and no scopes. Pushing and rushing with a snipe. Taking on shotgun kids and quick scoping them in the face from melee distance. Seeing an enemy and then zooming and taking a shot . These are good sniping skills.
Hard scoping is thrash.
Sniping from invisible is trash.
1000 yard =trash.
High impact = trash.
Raid snipes in pvp = trash.

A true sniper remains static and hidden until they have their shot, whether it be a high value target or simply providing overwatch. The added benefit is that they demoralize enemy forces....sounds like you've met a real sniper :)

2 답변You do know that hard scoping, as many call it, is the literal definition of sniping? That's the whole purpose of snipers. You don't see people running on that battlefield doing jumps and flips holding a sniper, they're perched on a high place, watching over the battlefield to support their fellow soldiers and stalk thy prey, not running around, quickly looking down the scope, than firing and releasing. The reason it's so frowned upon is because Bungie can't build maps that can actually utilize the "stay down and provide support" role.

Funny you acknowledge it's a sniper lane. You will never, ever see a no scope outside of a video game...ever. Before you check, I have maybe 2 sniper kills in crucible. Not many shotguns either. #notgoodatpvpandalsohatesnipersboooiiiyyy

Why do people bitch so much about "hard scoping" it is so easily countered by simply jumping when you go around corners. I have a much bigger problem with the ease at which some players are able to insta-snipe you as they run wildly around the map, even if you start shooting them first in the back.

Lol, are you mad because my explosive round 1k stare doesn't even need to see you to kill you. I'm sorry, but it's fun to snipe, camp a ghost and as soon as I see red by it I shoot the ghost and kill the other two at long distance with aoe damage.
