Remember when thorn was overused in trials? Look at the stats now for the 1k stare.

EDIT: Guys I get it. You get it from a quest early on and it's easily obtainable. Let's start talking about solutions. People are suggesting more high impact snipers be added. I personally think res sniping should be removed. This would open up the variety a lot.
EDIT: Ya it's the easily obtainable sniper that can res snipe. Got that part. Doesn't anyone else agree that this sniping bs is getting old? It's more annoying than thorn ever was imo.
EDIT: I can't believe people are accusing me of bitching or whining right now lmao. I'm trying to find solutions for this broken game that bungie can't seem to get right. I'm trying to show respect here. People just feel like they can be jerks because we aren't face to face. Whatever though. This was supposed to be a supportive, friendly post. I guess that's just not possible on this forum.

Currently there are only 4 weapons that can res snipe. 1 is exclusively for hunters 1 is exotic 1 is a random package you can buy from gunsmith if he sells it 1 is easily accessible from vendor and quest. Not many choices so a solution would be to add more snipers similar to 1k stare. Häkke should add more snipers to their arsenal since they make great weapons. Same thing for suros would love to see a sniper from them.

1 답변If you can comprehend the numbers it says that a small percentage of trials players use 1000 yd stare 84% use something else. I don't see the problem. Also the are only 4 different types of weapons to chose from. Realistically the choice is between a sniper and a shotgun. Up close or from a distance. Why would you not use the best weapon of the type that you had?

1 답변This post is pointless...Thorn was a primary it has basically unlimited ammo pick ups and exotic perks..it is not comparable to a secondary sniper no matter how many people use it.Get rid of the 1000 Y S and your whiny little arse will only bitch about the Eirene next when that starts being used by most players.

High impact snipers should be locked to having long distance scopes. Medium impact gets your tacsys style scopes and the new ones added in ttk. Low impact snipers get ambush and slh10. It pushes rez snipers to longer distances/higher skill. It makes run and gun snipers who want the lower zoom use low impact snipers which would actually make those snipers relevant. Medium impact snipers will be for everyone else inbetween. It's the only chance I could see to snipers that would actually 1. Make any kind of difference in weapon choice and gameplay decisions and 2. Not obliterate snipers.

You clearly didnt think further about this..... "Res sniping removed" That means: -players that get ressed dont take damage... Or -damage taken when you get ressed will be reduced that means they have atleast 417+ armor when ressed....... You know what happens next?? If you use your healthy brain.... Players will have an advantage by dying.....this will -blam!- this community up even more...

13 답변If you don't want to be sniped off of res, then be smarter about your battles and don't get killed in the first place, it's no ones fault but yours. They aren't going to remove res sniping just because u don't know how to counter it.

Any sniper that can spawn kill could be up there is just that the 1000 is easily obtainable. The problem is not that sniper or even snipers in general. The problem is that aside from a couple of notable exceptions they fcked up every primary.

10 답변12 new legendary snipers came with TTK 3 of them can shut down a sunsingers, bladedancers,stormcallers, sunbreakers and revives. *stillpiercer - hunter only *eirene rr4 - lower stability, reload and AA than 1000 ys *1000 ys - the only viable option that you can use on different characters. Tell me why i should use a sniper like tao hu yan with potato impact please!

2 답변The reason that everyone uses 1k Stare isn't because it's OP, it's because there is no selection of snipers with decent impact anymore. Almost all available snipers are of the low impact/high ROF variety. Bungie needs to add more snipers into the game.

6 답변Thorn was a problem because it was over powered. The 1k is simply the most widely available good sniper, which is why so many people use it. The fact that you get killed by it often is due to that reason. It doesn't mean it's overpowered. You would die just as easily to any other sniper.

3 답변The only reason people use the 1000 yard stare is because it can res snipe. Sure it has good aim assist and with a good roll can get more, but with the lack of high impact snipers people are forced to use it, plus it's extremely easy to get a decent one.
