1. It's a game. People need to stop taking it so seriously. Yes, it's frustrating as all hell when a random messes up so much that a team doesn't even get to detonate its first round of orbs on Oryx after an hour and a half. As for little mistakes, I have a lot more patience when it comes to those because they delay the team a couple minutes or so, if at all. I'm never going to play the game with someone who is perfect. The pros wouldn't associate with me, and frankly a lot of them seem obnoxious and douchey.
2. Raids are hardly for "hardcore" players. If my friends and I can beat Oryx challenge mode, then most people can. 'Nuff said.
3. However, I do agree that things like light level, gear, and even age shouldn't count against a person. I usually play with the same group, but occasionally we have to fill from LFG. We've played with some very bad players, but also some really good ones. There's people out there who can hold their own when faced with a disadvantage.

Yes, it is just a game, and for that, I don't want to spend 3+ hours TRYING to kill Oryx 'cause someone is holding me back. I work and study and when I play on weekends, I don't wanna feel that I'm wasting my time. I don't want to play so serious and feel that I am at some king of work, of course, but I have others things to do with my time.

Light level is only a crutch for bad players to be relevant plain and simple! The first people to beat hard mode including my fireteam were light level 305ish and challenge mode really isn't a challenge. People only insist on higher light level players because most people that attempt raid aren't good and it helps them soak up and apply more damage!
