According to the 2.1.0 patch notes, Achlyophage Symbiote now reduces Golden Gun's timer (12 seconds -> 9 seconds. That's a 25% nerf). That's absolutely absurd! Golden Gun's active time (without damage resistance) is already way to short. People have been asking for buffs, and you [i]nerf[/i] it? I just don't get it.
Please tell me that it's just a typo...

Here's my reasoning, since many of the replies don't seem to get it.
Golden Gun, in its unmodified state, lasts 12 seconds. In that 12 seconds, you have to:
-Return to a combat hot spot after finding a safe place to activate it (rephrased because I had worded it poorly), because god forbid somebody shoots you with a primary while you're in the animation.
-Hope there are enemies somewhere near you, or you just used your super for literally no reason.
- Hope there's only one enemy, or you're simply dead. Yup, two people with primaries will kill a Golden Gun instantly.
-Hope there's more than one enemy, or you just wasted your super for a single kill.
By the time you've done all of that, your time is up. Period. Kills or not, Golden Gun just doesn't care. He's outta here.
And then they drop it to 9 seconds at the cost of your exotic slot? Please explain to me how that makes sense. It's not a "trade off," it's a straight-up sacrifice. You lose 25% of your timer and get an extra bullet to [i]not[/i] use. Logic? Riiiiight...
And to the salty Sunbreakers in this thread:
Even post-nerf, you get a built-in Achlyophage that gives you 4 extra shots, 14 extra seconds, and damage resistance, and it doesn't even take up your exotic slot. Quit acting like they ruined your super.

Hey guys, DeeJ here! Since our test "rebalance" of Achlyophage Symbiote was so well recieved, we decided to share the love with some of the other popular exotics. You know, to... Uhh... Prevent them from being the only option. Yeah.
Here are the changes:
Armamentarium - All grenade durations are reduced by 25% to balance the extra area control/damage.
Impossible Machines - Now reduces super duration by 25% to balance the extra kill(s).
The Ram - Now reduces Agility to offset the extra Armor.
Saint-14 - Now reduces WoD durability by 33% to offset the blinding feature.
That's all! More balance updates coming in 2.3.0![/b]
Call it a hunch, but I doubt that update would be recieved with open arms.
[u]Edit:[/u] Looks like the whole thing was a mistake in the code, they only meant to nerf it by 0.025%.

3 답변작성자: Krobolus 12/11/2015 9:50:42 PMThe supers are in 3 basic catagories Offensive = close up,low armor,mobile Supers : Arcblade,HoS,Storm Trance <--- each of these supers has a chance to kill the entire other team , the trade off is you have light shielding and need to get close up to do so Off/Def = Golden Gun,FOH,Nova Bomb , Golden gun might seam to have an advantage with 3 shots , but FOH and Nova Bomb can be used as Panic buttons Or saved to use on Multiple people and both have a chance to take out more players in 1 shot than 3 GG bullets , so in the long run they all average out to roughly the same amount of kills . The trade off is you normally will only get between 1 and 3 kills with these supers . Sometimes more , but here GG is lacking, and you need an Exotic helmet for a chance at a 4th kill. So there is a Trade off . Defensive/Utility =Blessing of Light,1 long Shadowshot,Radiance, yes they can all be used more Offensively weapons of Light , 3 shadow shots ,etc.... So if NB and FOH have the ability to kill 4+ people normally, and for GG to be able to kill up to 4 people you need to use an Exotic slot to do so there is already a Balance to getting that Fourth shot . If NB and FOH had a Modifier that only allows them to kill 3 people per use no matter how many were in the blast radius , and they had to use an exotic Slot to allow them to kill 4 people that would be balanced . 9 seconds to use 4 bullets gives you about 2.2 seconds to use each shot, that's absurdly ridiculous , since you have 12 seconds to use 3 shots giving you around 4 seconds a shot. Just leave it at 12 seconds for the 4 shots ,that's only 3 seconds a shot and is already 1 second less for each shot than with 3 shots. So there is already Trade offs for the 4 shots You already need to use your Only exotic Slot to get the ability to get 4 shots, that's already the trade off for getting the extra shot, to Add in yet another trade off to get the extra shot means you have 2 negatives for 1 positive . Unless you make NB and FOH only able to kill 3 people unless they also equip an exotic , then it's completely unbalanced for GG with helm equipped to only last 9 seconds . Before people Bitch, NB and FOH can wipe an entire team if they are all together , No matter how great you are with GG and 3 bullets you are never going to wipe an entire team with just the super unless you miraculously get 3 double kills and you have more of a chance of getting stuck by lightning than that happening , So the use of an exotic Slot to get an extra bullet to get an equal chance of getting 4 kills ( or potentially more with Nb/FOH) that NB and FOH can get without the use of an exotic item is already Balanced .

This is what happens when everyone cries about supers. I main a titan and even I realize this was an ignorant change. Supers are short and OP. There is no reason to shorten them or make them less effective. Most of any match happens without supers being involved, I don't get why so many people cry about them.

2 답변I really think they balanced the usefulness of the helm between PvE and PvP. Having less time to get four shots off in PvE really doesn't matter, having less time to get four shots off in PvP does matter quite a bit, if anything they are trying to prevent every hunter in the crucible from wearing it like what happened most of year 1.

5 답변All those fake balances dont even make sence ,the impossible machines have a very small blat raduis and you have to acutally step into a bubble to get blinded they are all balanced in their own way just get used to it

작성자: InsomniaLeopard 12/11/2015 7:22:16 PMI tested it out, yes it slightly reduces as you do the animation, but, what I found is that I had more than enough time to get all four shots off. And each shot didn't reduce the time that much anymore. Perhaps its a fair trade? Slightly less time so you can test out your skills as a true "lighting fast" 'Gunslinger'?
