I personally either workout or listen to music. What about all of you?

Depends on the type of sadness. If it's soul-crushing anguish, I cry. If it's anger-laden sorrow, I exercise. If it's a deep-seated somberness, I write. For instance, I wrote a poem a few minutes ago about something that's bothering me at the moment. It's not really anything I can "fix" or "change", so creating something out of it was my best alternative.

I usually bottle it up inside me until I work out. It works because it vents stress and it improves my times. The other day I did a 500 meter swim in 8 minutes. I know that isn't a feat to people on a swim team, but I usually have a 500 meter swim around 10 minutes.

I bottle it up and remain in a state of constant fatigue and hopelessness and lose all motivation to do anything until anxiety kicks in and stresses me out about the things I can't summon the energy to do, and then I stress myself into physical illness, take a day off. Rinse. Repeat.
