"OH EM GEEZ! SPARROW RACING!!! YOU ARE SO AWESOMEZ BUNGIE!"
Is what we WOULD be saying.
HOWEVER!
The fact remains that you still screwed everyone over. You still sold a $60 INCOMPLETE game a year ago that got butchered and had missing components taken and repackaged to be sold separately as $20 DLC a pop. You did that twice. TWICE. So then it became a $100 incomplete experience because even with both "expansions" as they were advertised, the game was still hollow and felt more like a shell without absolutely any cohesion what-so-ever. It was bare bones.
Then you release TTK which you decided to sell for $40 and everyone is going on about how its such an improvement and that it makes the game complete. Really revving up that hype train for it. But guess what? IT WAS STILL MORE OF THE SAME CUT CONTENT FROM THE BASE GAME!
How... HOW does anyone get away with this crap? You took a $60 game and managed to squeeze another $80 out of it. And don't sit there and tell me that you've been developing new content for it because we already know you announced you had started working on Destiny 2 MONTHS ago. In fact if I recall correctly, it was already entering development around the time the Dark Below was released. I've NEVER seen a game drag out old content so much. Same goes for TTK, that content was in development before the game ever launched, Luke Smith said that himself in an interview.
And now Sparrow Races? First off, let's get this record set straight, it BEGAN with folks being suspicious and accusing you of CUTTING Sparrow Racing from the base game just like you did Player Trading and Gambling. It became all the more obvious to people when you decided to give everyone this thing: https://www.bungie.net/en/Armory/Detail?type=item&item=3703598457&itemname=EV-30%20Tumbler
In fact, GAMBLING was believed to have been a mechanic associated with Sparrow Races. This was before the game even launched, mind you. Its clear that this is just once again another example of cut content being recycled just like you're doing with the Year 1 Exotics. Just something "new" (not really) to toss out there for all the diehard "Dude Bros" to freak out and obsess over. This Hamster Wheel comes with all the bells and whistles.
Second? You screwed it up. Yeah, you really did. Because not only are you likely going to put a great deal of stuff for it in your in-game Cash Shop nonsense (Most likely all the things folks are actually going to want for it), but to my knowledge these races are going to be for TTK owners ONLY.
Its ridiculous. You're all about exclusion, its nothing but aggressive attempts to try and force people to spend their money. But here's the thing, people ALREADY spent their money. You have received MORE than enough for your product and instead of supporting the community and giving back the players, you just keep coming up with more and new ways on how to get as much as possible from the masses. Shame on you. This is NOT what Gaming should be about.
I said it before and I'll say it again. TTK doesn't get a free pass and neither do you. TTK doesn't get a "passing score" for being somewhat better than the shite that you sold throughout Year 1. ANYTHING would be better than that. No, TTK gets measured up against other games like any others. Matched up with Fallout 4, DOES The Taken King compare? Does the value of TTK for $60 equal the value of content that you get for the same price as this?
Trick question, the answer is no, it doesn't.
Destiny being an Online Game doesn't mean jack crap, at all. Destiny having PvP has absolutely no bearing on this comparison, either. We're talking straight up value. The amount of content in Destiny does NOT reflect its $140 price tag.
Dark Below and House of Wolves SHOULD have been free for Vanilla Destiny.
Sparrow Racing SHOULD have been included for everyone, TTK or not.
The Taken King SHOULD have been sold at $30 and the Eververse Trading Company NEVER should have been implemented. Ever.
Gamers aren't stupid, most of us are very smart and have VERY good memories much to the dismay of companies like Activision.
We. Never. Forget.
Its time you start doing something to take responsibility for all this crap.

1 답변I think at this stage in the game - the ones who were willing to take responsibility and do the right things have either left ... or were forced out. Great post either way though. Very strong and valid points across the board. And you've got to love the fact that the underlying message in the Sparrow Racing announcement was yet another "We've created a BS limited time event that doesn't have to BE a limited time event (from cut content and concepts, no less) so that we can try and trick (or treat) you into buying more limited time content from Tess the money sponge and her Snake Oil stand." Yup. Once again instead of trying to develop some actual interesting and compelling content for this desiccated husk of a game - they just pull some (relatively minor) cut content out of the junk drawer and slap a few not-so-subtly hidden price tags on it in order to prey on one of the weaker aspects of basic human nature. Bravo Bungie ... bravo.

I been waiting for your two cents. The bungie fanboys trying to make me think I'm crazy for not thinking this idea is all great when there's other more pressing problems. It's like they need "shut up and play the game" tattooed on their chest

You make some very great and valid point on this side of the argument. Where As I don't think we should be negative towards sparrow racing, I definitely agree that bungie should not STILL be forcing/pushing a sale, they have already done that plenty of times. This should not be ignored. Definitely

2 답변Good post. The only reason they decided to do it now is because they know it might bring some players back and they can make money off it now with the trading shop. No way it should of taken them this long to implement something like this. They can do something like this but can't add the old year 1 strikes back into rotation? Yeah okay lol

2 답변You can tell sparrow racing was in the game prior to launch, and only the most blind fanboy would attempt to debate this. One only has to look at the paths, jump ramps, and circle design of the planets maps.

I'm still hoping for the game I was promised years ago when Destiny was announced. To be fair games have maintained a relitively stable price for the last two decades. With inflation game prices should be closer to $80, however the way that Bungie went about advertising this game is inconsistent with what we where sold at launch.

These are the type of issues that need to be brought to the forefront of people's minds because unfortunately it does seem like some people forget about all of these things. I for one will never let this shit go until the situation is rectified in some manner. Which may never happen considering who we are dealing with but that's fine if they won't make things right than they lose money from me and I know I am not alone in saying that.
