Start with parentheses so it would next be
6/2(3)
Order of operations states to do division and multiplication in what ever order they are in from left to right.
3(3)
3⋅3=9 so the answer is

As it is not seen as a fraction, it will be read as this: 6÷2(1+2) without the invincible second pair of brackets.solved as follows 6÷2(1+2) 6÷2(3) 3(3)=9 TL;DR: Its all in how the equation is written

Thus implementing the distributive property so 6/ 2(2+1) = 6/ (4+2) = 6/6 = 1 But apparently the problem is two separate functions. 6÷2 [b][i]times[/i][/b] (2+1) Its because of how it's written that there's any discrepancy

4 답변Explained that it truly is 1. Google is wrong. The 3 stays in the parentheses until finished being dealt with. It's not a question of what comes first multiplication or division but rather the fact ppl dont remember parentheses come before all.

51 답변작성자: yam 12/6/2015 5:04:30 PMactually, it could be both, depending on how you look at the problem. if you see the problem as being two separate things, then it is 9, but if you see it as one thing, then it will be 1. 2things 6/2 separate from (1+2) 6/2 is 3 then 3(1+2) is 9 [i][u]but[/u][/i] if you see the (1+2) as being in the denominator then 6/(2(1+2)) 2*(1+2) is 6 6/6 is 1 tldr: both are right

That is not the case, it would be the case if the problem was 6/(2(1+2) this would indicate that 2(1+2) is all involved in the division of 6. But since the parenthesis don't exist you can simply divide. You now have 3(1+2). Multiply that 3 over to get 3+6 which equals 9. You don't need PEMDAS at all. Just people who didn't pay attention in math use it because they don't quite understand how things work when parenthesis aren't there to point it out for them. PEMDAS just -blam!-s everything up tbh.
