So I recently did the raid with a female gamer... And every word out of her mouth had " boyfriend " attached to it.
"My boyfriend does the raid every time my boyfriend isn't boyfriending like a true boyfriend! Oh!!! Here's my boyfriend now! Boyfriend boyfriend boyfriend."
Why is it that i, a respectful and honestly nice guy (unless I'm doing some competitive snizz) have to be treated like a common "are you boobies big!?!" Weirdo?
Help from the women of Destiny? I must understand! D:

Get a bit older and the men reference their wives and the women reference their husbands. I doubt that this is anything more than the fact that their partners influence their frame of reference for interacting with the world. Believing that this is a deliberate ploy to manipulate you into treating them different is stupidly self centred.

I feel your pain dude. I have just grown to believe that it's completely hopeless trying to form any sort of real connection with women on this game. I rarely have the nerve to flirt with anybody and I've already struck out with three different girls I've come across out of the ten women I've ever actually played with on destiny. Hell, I've been passively trying with one of them for the entire first year of destiny and it still hasn't yielded anything, it looks like it might from time to time but always falls flat and I've about had it. So I would say just don't worry about it and pretend like they're just another dude because you're most likely not going to make anything happen anyway. Just ignore

2 답변I'm a 40 year old guy with a wife and 2 young (4 and 6) kids that manages to game in my free time, the whole "oh boy, a girl" is over for me. I'll game with anyone that just wants to shoot crap and have fun. Just saying.

I truthfully don't see why it matters. Even if for no other reason she wanted to mention her boyfriend, what does it matter? I've had my own share of interactions with the opposite sex in this game, but when they mention their boyfriends it doesn't bother me. I'm here to enjoy the game, I simply remain pleasant and let them talk. Unless you're expecting something out of your relationship with them it really shouldn't bother you. Some people just like to talk about their relationships for some odd reason, I never understood why. I may if I actually got into one, but I have no interest in such a thing.

4 답변It's because when you're online, people have the security of sitting behind their screens and saying whatever they like. And most of the time, they will. Most of the guys on Destiny aren't bad. I've found that a majority are over 18 and thus are pretty mature. Younger kids are also okay because things like gender don't really present a conflict for them. I tend to just stay quiet until I hear a bit of how the people in my raid groups act, unless I'm with a few friends. While not many are inherently rude, quite a few choose to single me out, in a way, for being a girl. It's not intentionally harmful, but it does annoy me a bit. I don't like that people think they have to act differently around me, for better or worse, just because I'm a girl. The worst ones are usually in the age range of 14-18, when they're learning to think for themselves but tend not to show as much respect or restraint around others. Hell, I've had someone tell me I should be r*ped if I didn't "pleasure" men. So for the sake of not hearing disgusting things like that, I tend to just stay quiet.

15 답변Replace "boyfriend" with "friend" or "clan" or "girlfriend" and its the same conversation we have all had in our raid groups. It's you who is being sensitive to it and treating it differently because she is a girl in my honest opinion.

작성자: Krankmas 12/4/2015 1:09:47 PMIt's a security measure. Just talk about the male figure. (Whether its just a close male friend or boyfriend) That way it sounds like you are taken and or have a guy that would step in if you act like an ass, until you prove you aren't one. Not because I assume all guys are dicks just I unfortunately run into alot of said dicks.
But to be fair I hear guys say the same sentences with "friend" "raid group" and "girlfriend" all the time. Yet we aren't making post about you talking about the girl in your life.
I'm biologically a girl but some friend thinks I'm a dude and he call me like that haha. I don't know but all my friends in psn are just dudes and we talk about boobs, ass and other stuff. But when they invite a girl to the fireteam the game become bored or we talk about their childrens... It's strange
