After a hundred something hours of Fallout 4 got to lvl. 91 and beating the game on very hard difficulty I didn't feel the same drives to playing anymore. I cleared over half the map. Sure I can invest another hundred hours or so exploring everything but I feel no incentive to do so. I spent a lot of time lvlin' up and being totally over leveled and after beating the main story I don't feel like playing anymore. It's a shame really such a good game.
I think this is really a problem I been having with these heavy story driven game. Once you hit climax it is all downhill from there. There many other great game that I have not completed because of this reason. Like Mgs V, DragonAge Inquisition and Witcher 3 for examples. I would spend all my time playing trying to perfect everything and become super OP. It might sound weird but I didn't finish these games because I don't want them to end, basically I'm afraid of beating them lol, because if I don't beat the game the it technically never ended and all my hard works didn't goes to waste.
Edit.
I think destiny really hit that sweet spot for me. After you maxed out everything the game still have things to drive you forward. Even though one would say that the contents is repetitive. So far I have sunk over 3000 hrs hours into Destiny across all my current guardians and the one I have deleted, the most I have in other games was 600 hours (Guild War 2 and PoE). Also I really like the social aspect of Destiny. I have made some great friends while raiding and playing crucible, that's something that never really happened to me in other Online games like Guild War or CS. Overall I have no regrets about spending so much time I Destiny. I know many others feel the same way. It's good that November come around and bring so many good game, we need a break to do different things, but I'm sure we'll be flocking back to Destiny once we done with other games.
Edit 2
After seeing a lot of post here I would like to say that I'm not comparing the two games, they're completely two different type of game. People are saying that I should do everything possible before proceeding forward. Sure you can go back and do everything and it would offer you countless more hours of thing to do. Well it is like having sex, you have foreplay, intercourse and then finally orgasm. There just no endgame contents. Once you blow your load you can try fiddling back in there but then it feel like a chore. Lots of fun to have but once you’re done, it’s time to go to sleep. On the other hand destiny is like a sport. You trains then you play and in the end rains or shines you want to keep going. If you win you want to stay at the top so you keep grinding, if you lose you can quit or you get back in the grind and shoot for the top. I have a very competitive nature so that’s how I think, if you don’t agree with me I can respect that.
See you around fellow Guardians.

1 답변3000 hours.... That's well over 120 days in the past year and a quarter. You spend nearly a third of your life playing video games? Wtf man.

Same thing happened when dad died in Fallout 3. Didn't have the drive to play the game anymore now that I had finished my objective of finding dad. Pissed me off though wasting my time trying to find the old bastard just for him to die.

Fallout 4 and the older ones never gave me a reason not to replay it, destiny feels more like trash nowadays, lack luster updates. Shoot they got the Telesto for sale one of the few i never aquired but it really doesnt turn me to reinstall the game. Id rather spend 4 hours playing pong on the atari than sit through one strike on destiny.

Not even thinking of coming back to the chore known as Destiny. A game in which you log in to do bounty #10 000 000, strike grind #899901 and kill level 6 Fallen in the laughable Patrol. Fallout 4 on pc is amazing. Already installed over 15 mods and its only getting better when the mod tool is officially released. LOL at people still playing Destiny.

2 답변I have never played fallout but I totally understand your point basically you have played the game and have enjoyed it thoroughly but once the story is finished there is stuff to do that feels pointless. Yes people will say the same about destiny but I find with destiny the grinding can be fun with friends and have met some amazing friends through the game, and regardless of what we are doing we always have a laugh even if it is a strike for the 50000th time. Only thing I want from destiny now is for the legacy strikes to be part of heroic and nightfall playlist.

1 답변My top games right now Fallout 4 Halo 5 Destiny. Destiny is a good game, I just wish Bungie figures out how to make this game legendary like what they did with Halo 3. I remember the hype for Halo 3. That story will be passed on for generations. Actual parties celebrating the release of this game, with cocaine and all the fixings you need for the party to go all night.

3 답변I've spent 5 or 6 hours in Fallout 4 and much of that seems like it was spent in loading screens. Get killed = 30+ second loading screen Enter or exit through a door = 30+ second loading screen Great game in general, but I guess I just don't have the necessary patience for that shit. In fact I haven't played it in three days because of it.

1 답변Spent over 3000 hours on destiny, says there's no drive to play fallout after 100... lmfao bungie hired the right psychologist I guess.

I can play an hour of Fallout 4. Find something new to explore and something new to do. I've played through the main story quests 4 times and it's played differently everytime. Or I could play an hour of Destiny. Play the same nightfalls, missions and daily's. Get nothing new or interesting. My current time will be spent playing Fallout until Bungie drop something new (challenge mode is a piss poor attempt at "new" content). I'm not going to keep grinding Oryx HM to get myself all the gear for it to become useless come the next expansion.

5 답변I understand your logic. But I like to take it slow. I sneak around like a sociopath with suppressed weapons. Plus I've opened about 30 quests and I've only completed the ones I absolutely had to to progress. I go around discovering all new locations and killing every bad guy I can possibly find. It keep things going for me in when I finally do run out of things to shoot, I've still got content to complete. And then it's easy because most things are dead and I'm very powerful, so I enjoy it more. That's just me though. I see where you're coming from and I definitely get your outlook on Destiny. Play, enjoy, git sum guardian..

작성자: Automatic2209 12/4/2015 4:31:28 AM3,000 hrs in Destiny. How do you have anything left to do?!?! I've got 380 hrs (been playing since Alpha), and I played most of that on year 1, and I have absolutely NOTHING to do in game. I have all three characters above 310. My highest is my Titan at 316. I've beaten hard mode a few times. Once I noticed I only did a couple things in the game I moved on. Literally all I did was use 3oC to run strikes, or I ran raids. It just got old.
