Ward of Dawn is almost 100% Useless in PvP
So, I just got one shot shotgunned from 10 ft away with Blessings of Light on. I love Defender so much, but it's almost COMPLETELY useless in Crucible. Weapons barely does any extra damage. Blessings is ridiculously easy to break, as I've experienced. And Armor is rarely useful, since someone will doubtlessly super you before you can get a single kill.
Speaking of supers, the fact that Sunbreakers only need to use three of their 7-8 hammers to pop my bubble is infuriating, and makes me loath them even more than I already do.
All in all, I cannot do Defender in Crucible anymore. The subclass is made for defense but can't defend against JACK SHIT.
Edit: I've taken a lot of you guys' advise. I'm now running Armor with a Conspiracy Theory, and I have my No Backup Plans on standby once I get a non Exotic helmet I can wear (I deleted all my Rares LOL), and hopefully will be getting Immobius soon. I also have my 1000 YS and Weapons on standby. Thanks for the tips!

It's the only Titan subclass I like to use. No Backup Plans, Weapons of Light, War Machine, and The Chaperone. The subclass can be very aggressive, but there's a learning curve. It excels in Mayhem, more than 2/3rds of the subclasses. I've gotten an easy 13 kill streak with it, dealing with 3 Nova Bombs and 2 Hammers. It's preference, but I see it as the most versatile.

I like defender sometimes, I normally run the Arc subclass with Titan on crucible so I can Hulk Smash! I've seen some good uses of the bubble in crucible but I guess it's not for every situation. Sometimes shit happens too, maybe the shotgunner lagged out and appeared far away when on his screen he might have been in your face? I've felt ripped off at times, most recently hitting an active sun breaker with 1/4 health with a shoulder charge and having no impact, like I said shit just happens. It's best to forget it and move on ^_^

I used it once, by accident, in pvp forgetting to change my loadout. I wrecked with it. No ideawhy i haven't tried it again. I think the randoms playing were just terrible, but it worked out wonderfully for me in my one dip.

I read the first 3 sentences and stopped to correct you. Weapons of light will body shot collateral 2 people with her benevolence. It leaves a 3rd person at half health. It will also 3x collateral headshot. So there's that.
