When people say I'm done with destiny I expect them to delete the game and their characters go to the nearest gamestop and get like 4 dollars in store credit.

I was in a line at the supermarket the other day, and uhm... y'know, I had all my things on the little conveyor belt there. And uh... there's a gal in front of me that is uh.. well, she's staring at me and I'm getting a little nervous and uh, she continues to stare at me. And I uh, I keep looking the other way. And then, finally she comes over closer to me and she says: "I apologise for staring, that must have been annoying. I, I... You look so much like my son, who died. I just can't take my eyes off you." And she precedes to go into her purse and she pulls out a photograph of her son who'd died. And uh, he looks absolutely nothing like me. In fact he's... Chinese. Uh... anyway, we chatted a little bit. And uh, she says: "I'm sorry, I have to ask you. Would you mind, as I leave the supermarket here, would you mind saying "Goodbye mom" to me? I, I know it's a strange request but I haven't heard my son saying "Goodbye mom" to me, and "So long" and it would mean so much to me to hear it. And uh, if you don't mind I... " And I said: "Well, you know, okay, yeah, sure. Eh.. uh... I can say that." And, and so, she uh gets her groceries all checked out. And uh, as she's going out the door she waves at me and she hollers across the store: "Goodbye son!" And I look up and I wave and I say: "Goodbye mom!" And then she goes, and uh... So I get my few things there, on the conveyor belt and the checker checks out my things. And uh, and he gives me the total and he says: "That'll be four hundred and seventy nine dollars." Uh... and I said: "Well, how is that possible! I've only got a little tuna fish, and uh some skimmed milk, and uh mustard and a loaf of bread..." He goes: "Well, well you're also paying for the groceries for your mother. She uh, told me you'd take care of the bill for her." And I said: "Well, wait a minute! That's not my mother!" And he says: "Well I distinctly heard her say as she left the store "Bye son!" and you said "Bye mom!" and so what are you trying to say here, uh..." I said: "Well, JESUS!" And I looked out into the parking lot and she was just getting into her car. And I ran out there. And she was just closing the door, and she had a little bit of her leg sticking out of the door and she was pulling away and I grabbed her leg and I started PULLING it! Just the way... I'm pulling yours...

It's true. But we'll see you soon. Man I quit a ways back after the Luke Smith bullshit... And I quit HARD. Like a quitting Olympian. I was LIVID. But y'know what? After playing all the new AAA titles and dustin' off some classics... I'm back with a vengeance. It definitely hurt my pride coming back, and my dignity is still recovering... But.... Destiny is unique, visually stunning, and its mechanics run like a well oiled machine. Could it have more content? Yes. Could it have more customization? Yes. Could it have more depth and story? Yes. But do these flaws deter me so far as to make me want to play any other game on the market currently? [b]No.[/b] Now, don't get me wrong. [b]I agree[/b] with your post. Especially about the DLC and Microtransaction garbage, and definitely about the community. But the fact remains, I can't get into other games like I got into Destiny... I can't play other games for as long as I played Destiny... I simply can't justify the time playing any other game. After being a FIRM hater of Bungie, Activision, and Destiny, (and Luke Smith that p.o.s.) I can confidently say that they have made a game that truly caters to my lifestyle. I am not a hardcore grindy no-lifer.. As most of the complainers are. And I am not a filthy casual playing a couple hours a week... Like the other complainers. For ME, this game has it all. So yes, -blam!- Bungie and Activision for making deals with the devil and being overall money hungry twats... Yes, -blam!- the community for being incredibly lazy [i]and[/i] incredibly reactionary and stupid at the same time...(remember most of these people are T-for-teen angsty pubescent future no-lifers) But -blam!- Destiny? Nahh man. Sorry. I agree with most of your post, just can't knock the game, it works perfectly for me. Sorry Guardian, I may be the only one who will say [b]sincerely[/b] that we'll miss ya.. But we will. Because you're right. Consumers with a backbone and a voice to match are becoming more and more few and far between. [spoiler]sorry also for the incessant apologizing.. Alas, my Canadian heritage shines through.[/spoiler] [spoiler]also, let's not forget that Destiny is still in its infancy. While it may piss some gamers off, and rightfully so, I like to look at Destiny 1 as the year long beta for Destiny 2 that Destiny 1 so desperately needed. Haha xD I know it's kinda irrational but I feel like they can only improve from here... Destiny 2 will HOPEFULLY be an amalgamation of all the complaints and suggestions and feedback along with some new creative ideas, all developed during its predecessor's "harsh upbringing"... But I tell ya, I reeeeally hope I'm not saying this every year or two until it actually crashes and burns hahaha. Either way, right now I'm back playing and am really enjoying myself.
