I'm not exactly in the best part of America but if you want a place near Canada with some nice people Ohio isn't a bad place to live. Just avoid cities like Akron and Cleveland. Rural Ohio in particular is pretty nice.
West coast is the best coast. I mean that. Lived in both sides. It's no small wonder why east coasters that travel to the west wind up staying.
Anything west of Ohio (excluding ohio). No matter what you're into as far as climate, scenery, people or whatever, you can find it west of ohio. Plus people are nicer and happier (generally speaking) the more west you get.

Colorado and Utah are dope too. Idaho is a good mix of everything. Nonidea about Montana except mountains. Mountains everywhere. Oh and tons of racism. Quite, secret racism.
Florida cause we're one of the few states that don't have a lot of tax due to the fact that THERE ARE TOURISTS EVERYWHERE. If you can get past the heat of 75 at night yesterday than your fine. A cold front just came in
