Today's youth are very impressionable. You see children emulating the behavior they see on TV, hear in music, observe in adults. Some of this behavior is desired. Some of it, is not. There are plenty of children playing video games like Destiny. Although it is rated Teen, this game does have violence in it and I worry that it may be corrupting the minds of the youth who play it. If the interactions on this forum alone are any indication, then it has already affected their temperament. Don't believe me? Scroll down the page. It won't be long before you encounter vitriol hurled by somebody's child. When I played video games, I cannot tell you how many times some 7 year old claimed to have copulated with my mother. I've heard profanity uttered by a 5 year old that I would never have dreamed up.
The violence being imitated in Destiny is causing violent thoughts and tempers. Which is why I believe Destiny needs to be more child-friendly. How must this happen? Well,I for one think we should get rid of death animations. Instead of having an animation, I believe the enemy (or opponent) should disappear in a flash of light. I also believe that some of the weapons could be replaced with less-threatening objects. For example: the throwing knife could be replaced with some sort of energy sphere that scores points when it hits the target. Instead of firing realistic bullets, the guns could fire rays of light. (I'm keeping in mind that most of them already do.)
Another thing that could make Destiny more child friendly is the implementation of a profanity filter. Language recognition has gotten incredible. I am sure it would be simple to program some version of word recognition into the in-game chat. Every time somebody utters a profanity, they will be penalized. Three strikes and they are banned from participating in public games for 24 hours.

작성자: FRYKILL 11/12/2015 1:58:49 PMThis can be made more simplified by parents monitoring what their kids are playing. If anything, games should be locked out to players below a recommended age. Many of the issues with gaming today are caused by lazy parents who blame the developer for their kids problems, yet it's the parents who bought the child the game to begin with. Even though this is satire, this is still a growing issue.
