Today's youth are very impressionable. You see children emulating the behavior they see on TV, hear in music, observe in adults. Some of this behavior is desired. Some of it, is not. There are plenty of children playing video games like Destiny. Although it is rated Teen, this game does have violence in it and I worry that it may be corrupting the minds of the youth who play it. If the interactions on this forum alone are any indication, then it has already affected their temperament. Don't believe me? Scroll down the page. It won't be long before you encounter vitriol hurled by somebody's child. When I played video games, I cannot tell you how many times some 7 year old claimed to have copulated with my mother. I've heard profanity uttered by a 5 year old that I would never have dreamed up.
The violence being imitated in Destiny is causing violent thoughts and tempers. Which is why I believe Destiny needs to be more child-friendly. How must this happen? Well,I for one think we should get rid of death animations. Instead of having an animation, I believe the enemy (or opponent) should disappear in a flash of light. I also believe that some of the weapons could be replaced with less-threatening objects. For example: the throwing knife could be replaced with some sort of energy sphere that scores points when it hits the target. Instead of firing realistic bullets, the guns could fire rays of light. (I'm keeping in mind that most of them already do.)
Another thing that could make Destiny more child friendly is the implementation of a profanity filter. Language recognition has gotten incredible. I am sure it would be simple to program some version of word recognition into the in-game chat. Every time somebody utters a profanity, they will be penalized. Three strikes and they are banned from participating in public games for 24 hours.

작성자: Folkeye 11/12/2015 11:22:21 PMNO, NO, and NO. They have no right if they're allowed to come online and offend or be offended. It's got the age range right there on the box. If the child or parents don't heed it that's their fault. Even the musings of making it a kid-friendly place is punishment for the rest of us. It'd be like going out to an upper scale restaurant and having THAT kid near you who behaves as though they're getting fast food. No thank you. My experienced is now ruined due to somebody's piss poor decision.

1 답변Are you fvcking serious? I agree that a lot of the media out right now isn't child-friendly, but that just means parents should do a better job of monitoring what their children are doing. That said, even if the game was rated M there'd be parents who let their kids play because they were either too lazy to research the game or they simply don't give a shit. What ya gonna do

1 답변I agree, all bullets should be replaced by paintballs, no deaths just time-outs, and everybody gets a participation medal after each match because we are all winners!
