Even when the net was in its infancy we had to discover content I'm games on our own. Could you imaging a game like destiny without tutorials and videos showing you everything there is to do in the game.
Destiny would seem 10 times larger than it is. People would interact. We'd always be looking for groups in game and asking people where they got their gear.
It would be a place of constant discovery. There would still be mystery to the game which to me is what is currently lacking.
With all the information we have access to we can look up and complete content that would take us months without the net.

작성자: Fenrir 11/10/2015 2:16:10 AMI'd never thought about that for Destiny... if we didn't have these forums, if our only communication was in-game in party chats where rumors and gossip would spread... wouldn't that be a wonderful game?... to have to figure it out on your own?... to be proud of the things you've achieved, because you didn't have a thousand guides to tell you what's what... to fight through a realm of unknown possibility, which, although it may have its limits, you'll likely never fully explore... I've never wanted the Destiny forums gone more than I do now.

1 답변Completely agree, tasks that are viewed as easy now would become monumentally challenging and require significant time investment and effort. I often wonder how game developers deal with this, like do they design the game factoring in that people will look things up? It makes most puzzle activities pointless, which is kind of sad.

I remember buying magazines at a fiver a time just for the guides to getting everything in the ps1 final fantasy games. I remember calling premium phone rate tips lines because I just could not figure out what to do next on silent hill. I remember not knowing the button combos for fatalities on mortal kombat. I only use the web to help me if I feel I really need it. But I'm glad it's there, i would never go back to the old days.

2 답변No one is forcing you to look stuff up on the internet. You cant blame bungie for your lack of self control.

4 답변You do realize that if there was no internet then you couldn't interact with other people because there would be no network or live... So no way to do raids or crucible or strikes...

1 답변Still have my GameBoy and the original Pokemon Blue. The schoolgrounds were the forums, and you needed to know how to move that damn truck.
